Better Treat Your Neighbor Right...!

If you are going to steal from someone, you may want to make sure that he doesn't have a lot of security cameras around his property!

It might be a good idea to make sure whether or not he has a snow plow as well! If you don't...you could pay the price!

CHICAGO - David Welles got sweet, snowy revenge on a snow shovel thief.

It's Welles business to watch what goes on around him. He owns Tunnel Vision Technology. Cameras are all over his house, inside and out.

So, when his shovel went missing during the third biggest blizzard in Chicago history, he logged on to find out who the culprit was.

A neighbor he does not know took his shovel right out from under his nose. Now it wouldn't be so bad if she had returned it. David would have gladly let her use it.

But, to make matters worse, his 2 year-old daughter, Mayson, was waiting for daddy to finish building her igloo.

Welles got his snow blower and walked back and forth, literally burying the shovel-thief's car in snow. It took the woman four hours to brush the snow off her car Friday morning.

David got his revenge without being malicious. He posted video of it all on YouTube.

There is a lesson to be learned here. Just like it's not neighborly to take someone's parking space after they've marked it, it's not neighborly to take a man's shovel.

Especially when doing so makes his daughter cry.

I guess that some lessons are best when learned the hard way! One lesson you can bet this lady should learn real quick...and that is "Know Thy Neighbor"!

Of course, learning not to steal would be a good idea as well!

How about some fresh coffee in the kitchen? Maybe some hot biscuits with maple sausage patties to go with it?

Sometimes adults are so childish!
If confronted, the lady would probably have claimed she 'just borrowed' it. As if explaining to a five year old, he could have replied, "It's not 'borrowing' if you don't ask first."

His approach probably taught her the lesson quicker. LOL

Jim, I got a fresh batch of buttermilk biscuits right out of the wood cookstove for you, bee there ASAP!*wink*

I think that is justice well served, don't get mad, just teach a thief a lesson, LOL!!!! Wonder if the woman knows about the video and news segment?

Blessings,
Kelle

Yep, justice is cool, or should I say cold like snow. I do sure hope that she saw herself on the news.

Good morning I have some fresh ground coffee for the next round I can bring over. :D
I doubt she learned anything and I think she also should get a ticket for allowing her dog to mess someone elses property. Very nervie person I would say.

Hey HB...
Some folks don't care about such mundane things as "permission" ! Probably just doing it the way she was taught!

Like you say. this way maybe she'll remember!

Thanks for the visit today!

Hey Kelle...
Sometimes people like this can see the error of their ways, sometimes they don't! Knowing that she is all over the Net may help in the learning process!

Sad when you have to resort to such actions to prove your point, but I think it was effective!

Hey, bring on those fresh biscuits!
Thanks for coming over today!

Hey Dizzy...
One less thing we have to worry about getting stolen here...no snow!

Pretty cool lesson, I'd say! Thanks for dropping in today!

Hey JoJo...
Guess that some people are just that way! Sad, but true!

Bring on that fresh ground coffee!

Hope you got your pipes all fixed up now...cause here comes some more cold!

Stay warm, sweetie, and thanks for coming over this morning!

I'm betting she's so dense she doesn't connect the two events, and would steal another snow shovel if she saw one. Some people are just that thick.

I saw that video on TV and had to laugh. If someone had stolen my shovel without asking I probably would have reacted the same way. She got what she deserved in my opinion.

Hey Marjie...
I'm afraid that you're probably right! Almost too dumb to feel guilty!

Way too many folks like this in the world!

Hey, I appreciate you coming by today!

Hey Rae...
Like the saying goes...what goes around, comes around!

Bad thing is, many like this don't understand why it happens!

I appreciate your visit, Rae!

LOL, that was funny. I'd'a gone a couple steps farther and filled her sidewalk back in as well.
Thanks for the chuckle.

Hey Shy...
I reckon that if it hadn't been so cold, he might have done exactly that!

Still, nothing like a little non-violent payback to effectively prove the point!

I really appreciate you coming by today!

Hey HermitJim this goes to show that never take a neighbor's snow shovel without asking. And, I just read the story about the fighting rooster that killed a man. What a turnabout that was and how unfrotunate. Wonder if the rooster was later killed too? Hope that water emergency is not hitting your part of Texas.

Hey Beatrice...
Seems like a lot of stories about payback in one form or another are catching my attention as of late!

No water shortage here in Houston, thank goodness! Even if there was, I'm pretty well fixed up because of trying to always be prepared for hurricanes and such!

Sad for the folks in El Paso proper, but the city just isn't set up for extended cold!

Thanks for the concern and for coming by today!
