Hey, You Trained Me, Fool...!
Why should we be surprised when animals actually do exactly what they were trained to do?
Like the old saying goes..."you play with fire, you're gonna get burned"! Either way, I think this is an example of some prime payback by Mother Nature!
EARLIMART, Calif. -- Investigators say a 35-year-old California man who died at a hospital on Sunday was killed by a rooster.
Jose Luis Ochoa was stabbed by a knife attached to the leg of a fighting rooster, the Kern County coroner's office said Friday.
Officials said an autopsy determined Ochoa died as a result of a stab wound to the calf, and the death was ruled accidental.
The coroner did not specify exactly how the calf wound killed Ochoa, whether it was excessive bleeding, infection or something else.
Investigators said it was not known if a cockfight was under way at the time of the accident.
The rooster was trained to fight, trained to kill, equipped with a razor on his spur, and then turned loose to do as much damage as he could! That's exactly what he did! No matter if the target in front of him didn't have feathers, the rooster did his job!
I say, more power to him! As far as the guy that got killed, hey...you reap what you sow!
Hot coffee and chocolate in the kitchen this morning! Still chilly outside!

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner! Hahaha...now if only we could train a certain Portuguese Waterdog....
I can only agree with You.
I´ve heard that when a bull is especially brave the bullfighter sometimes lets him live and the bull then lives the rest of his life on a special farm.
I do wonder if that´s the fact for roosters too :-) I do think he deserves it :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
Good Morning My Special Friend,
Yup he got what he had coming the fool. To bad more of them don't. And the ones who train those pits should get torn to peices too.
I would like some coffee with you in the kitchen today and I will bring some cookies. :)
Yep, that guy got what he deserved. Cock fighting is a cruel thing and I can not for the life of me understand why people are fascinated by such cruelty to animals. Dog fighting is another cruel practice.
ROOSTER POWER!! Go get um peppy! What I do not understand that if fighting roosters is illegal, then why not raising them. There are several rooster "farms" around here with those little sheds with a rooster chained to them. Why doesn't the spca confiscate them they way they do other animals. For sure they are being mistreated! I am not saying to go after the person with one or two roosters and a couple dozen hens. But how about the guy with just a few hens and a couple hundred roosters.
All I know is my cats sure have us trained. The cats and their housekeeping staff live here. Thanks for the story and have a great sunday.
...nomination for the Darwin Award...
...good on the rooster...
I love it when the bull wins, and now I can count on roosters.
