Now this is a novel way to voice your opinion!
Sort of makes your point without a noisy protest or getting in trouble with the law! I have to admit that this is the first time I've heard of this being done, but it could be one way to get the message across, depending on how many restaurants are available in the area!
Seattle-Area Restaurant Refuses To Serve TSA Agents

Fed up with what he views as crappy treatment from the TSA, the owner of a restaurant near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has decided to put all TSA agents on his No-Eat List.
"We have posted signs on our doors basically saying that they aren't allowed to come into our business," one employee tells travel journalist Christopher Elliott. "We have the right to refuse service to anyone."
She says that whenever a TSA agent attempts to dine at the restaurant, "we turn our backs and completely ignore them, and tell them to leave... Their kind aren't welcomed in our establishment."
The restaurant claims that 90% of its patrons are in agreement with their stance and that the local police have actually helped escort TSA workers of the premises.
"Until TSA agents start treating us with the respect and dignity that we deserve, then things will change for them in the private sector," says the employee.
I figure that these folks have the right to NOT serve anybody they want to! Still, I just hope that they haven't shot themselves in the foot in doing this.
It will be interesting to see the public reaction to this! I gotta admit it's a gutsy move for a restaurant to make!
So, tell me what you think...right or wrong?
How about some fresh coffee on the patio? We can discuss the world situation...or NOT!

It's his business, his call. He has the RIGHT to refuse to serve anyone.
Don't know what good it will do, but I'll support his right to do business his way.
Now just watch,, some Black TSA agent is gonna sue his ass for discrimination!!
I applaud his decision because if the agents aren't giving the deserved respect to him or his employees they should be refused service. Ben is probably right about the law suit, though. Some people think their title or job entitles them a place above the rest of us and we HAVE to let them know this is not right.
I figure its fine if the owner of the business states if clearly that certain people aren't welcome - its their establishment, they get to make the rules in their kingdom. They already are giving up some business for their stance.
I will bet this will be legally challenged though, some type of discrimination suit will ensue.
TSA is going to get a run for their money. I know they have a job to do but why do they have to through attitude into. I'm just glad I don't fly.
I has been nice to have coffee on the patio again.
Good for them! It's much nicer than how I would react, given the opportunity to return the favor.
Supposedly, when a person or persons own some type of business, they can choose who they would like to do business with.
I say: GOOD FOR YOU! I hope this works! I would not be surprised if somehow someone gets a hair up their butt and tries to sue the restaurant though. Bunch of sissies if they do!
If some disrespectful person came into MY business, I'd be showing them the door also!
Always good to share a cup of joe with ya'all!
They may be getting more business now from regular folks because of this new policy. I think a lot of people are fed up with TSA's presence.
Since I feel TSA and the humiliating body searches are just one example of our governments further decline into a police state, I think this is great and somewhat of a statement again the government too. These people are simply using the rights they still have to give 'the man' the finger. Go for it, I say!
Hey Ben...
Gotta give the guy credit for at least taking a stand!
Part of the reason we are in such trouble now days, is that more of us don't want to stand up for ourselves!
God Bless Our Republic! Thanks, buddy, for coming by today!
Hey Big Bad Sis...
Unfortunately today, too many folks thing that their problems can all be solved with a law suite!
Of course, when you are mainly after power, any one that doesn't treat you special can seem like an enemy!
Thanks for the visit today!
Hey Anon 7:19...
Nice to know that someone puts at least some statement of how they feel over a profit!
Who knows? Could make business even better!
I appreciate you coming over this morning!
Hey JoJo...
I think more folks are offended by the attitude more than the rules themselves!
Whenever you start pushing folks around, you ask for a bad reaction! Not a good move, in this day and age!
I thank you for your visit today, sweetie!
Hey mmpaints...
Good to see you again! Been a while!
I'm like you! I probably would have been more vocal about my displeasure than these folks! At least they are taking a stand!
I really appreciate you coming by today!
Hey Kellie...
I think we can expect a law suit out of this...as that seems to be the normal reaction for some people!
People are really getting fed up with being pushed around, though! Too many rules and too many bosses!
I hope that business stays good for this restaurant! They deserve it!
Many thanks for the visit today!
Hey Ann...
Gotta love a good "peaceful" civil disobedience!
So much can be done by swinging the public opinion in the right direction!
Thank you so much for coming by today, my friend!
About time someone is standing up to the PTB. Maybe the rest of us will grow some kohonnies follow suit. Thanks for the story and have a great day.
If the TSA agents doesn´t treat them with respect I agree with them! I hope their customers agrees with them too!
Have a great day now!
Christer.
Hey Mechanic...
At least this guy is trying! More than some of us are doing!
You have a great day, my friend! Thanks for coming over!
Hey Christer...
Like I said, it will be interesting to see how the public reacts to this!
Hope it all works out well for him!
Thank you, my friend, for coming by today!
It's his right, and a gutsy move. I doubt he'll ever get respectful treatment at airports again. Now, to avoid the TSA, how can I pay for a charter plane to my daughter's law school graduation in May,....?
Hi HJ, it's refreshing to see a business taking a stand on an issue. Of course, the restaurant can tell if a TSA agent comes in wearing a uniform, but I was wondering what about any who dress in plain clothes. It will be interesting to see if there are any law suits filed, but hope not cause there's already too many of those.
TSA agents have been very polite to me when I occasionally fly someplace. The rules they have to enforce get pretty silly, but the local agents have been nice to me.
Hey Marjie...
It is indeed a gutsy move, and one I would hope that more would take. Not only against the TSA, but other agencies as well!
Good luck on the charter flight! Seems to be the best way to avoid any delays!
You must be proud of the daughter! Good for her!
Thanks, my friend, for coming by today!
Hey Beatrice...
I would be surprised if some member of the agency, or another one, didn't file something!
Seldom are they going to let things like this slip by! After all, we can't have folks standing up for themselves and taking advantage of their rights, can we?
I do appreciate the visit today!
Hey Barney...
No reason why they couldn't be polite to everyone, even when doing their job!
Most folks like to be treated decently and with respect! Sure would solve a lot of problems!
I appreciate the visit today, Barney!
