Nature is always worth studying...even spiders.

When I was a youngster, we would put trantulas and red wasp in the same jar and study them for hours. Of course, photography hadn't been invented yet, so there's no proof.

In any event, I guess if I still had that pet tarantula you wouldn't ever come to visit me. But she died. If they are outside we ususally leave them be but one night coming over a hill I saw a trantula crawling on the next hill. I really needed new glasses so it must have been a big one. Made the dh try to run it over but he missed. Man I hope that one stays in the woods!

The kids had a lot of fun playing with the spider & changing the looks. Sure makes me feel better about using such a close up picture :) That one was actually taken the day I made your rib recipe, for my dads birthday. The reason it is so close up you would otherwise see my dads ear.. :)

They eat birds????? Glad I don't live there!

We have bats around here and of course groundhogs and such. Maybe I wont complain about those so much now. There is a guy I know who has 9 bathouses! Built onto his trees surrounding the back of his house. he says he never gets any insects. I saw one (dead in a museum) the size of a basketball. So, how's preps going this fine cold Saturday morning? Thinking about finding me some more Basmati rice for storage. Who knew that I would come to crave one of my prep foods. While I am there, might as well pick up some more tuna, chicken and the like.

Sometimes I wonder if store clerks ever wonder about people like me who buy large amounts of certain items. I have had a few ask, and tell them I am buy for the local food bank. Always gotta have plausible deniability just in case people get tooooo nosey.

Hope you have a good day; will be back later to cruise.
warriorPreparedwarriorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05752160865986799665noreply@blogger.com
