A Very Late Start...!

Sorry about that, my friends!

Usually I post for my blog the night before I publish, then set it to post the next morning. Yesterday, I was just too caught up into reading and pondering to do that. Suddenly, it was very late and I was very tired...so hence the late start this morning.

You know, the biggest problem for me lately is that I follow so many really good blogs with so much good information...I sometimes have a hard time finding a stopping place. Kinda like reading a good book...all the information and interests and lessons and recipes and stories from the homestead...man, you could spend hours staying up with them. And as I said, I often do!

I've decided to completely change the way that I have been approaching things in regards to my moving and prepping. Most of what I've done up to this point has been pretty scattered and unorganized, and that has to change. Guess you can say that all my blogging friends have given me a new and better direction.

Well, another day with grey skies, temps in the 70's, and a slight chance of rain has me wanting to clean house a little. Not too much, but just a little! After all, being a Hermit I have a reputation to live up to, right? So, excuse the ramble this morning...and sorry for the late start. I hope you all have a very good day...and just remember, any day above ground is a good one!

Now, let's have some fresh coffee!

  2. Hey Jim - I have the same problem. I just get so caught up in the journey through the information highway that I get lost sometimes. I need to pick a goal and work on that until it's accomplished. I never know where to start though. So I keep reading in hopes that I'll find a good starting point.

  8. Hey Ken...that coffee I.V. sounds like a pretty good idea to me! Nice thing about living alone is that I only have to do the chores deemed important to me!

Cleaning is now necessary as I want to get more organised as far as preps are considered...not so much cleaning as movin stuff around!

Hey, I appreciate you dropping by, my friend! Have a good one!

  10. Hey guys...I appreciate you taking the time to drop by. It's a pain, but a necessary evil when living in a small space, I guess!

Hope the remainder of the holidays are good to you...

May you always have the wind on your back, change in your pocket, and may the road rise up to meet you on your journey!

  12. Hey Hermit,
Seems like the day has been a vast collective of folk doing 'naught' but surfing, answering, commenting...

I do love the e-world. So many folks i can not only vicariously live my dreams thru but live theirs via the same means.

If only the virtual Arabica were so fulfilling...

    !!!!

  13. Thank you for your comment on my blog. I hope you enjoy the bean recipe.

I understand about getting a little over loaded. It's so easy to let life, internet or whatever take over because there's so much of it around. I decided a while ago that I'll get to what I can and let go of the rest or just chalk it onto tomorrows to do list. If there's no tomorrow then I can do the happy dance that I don't have to worry about it right?:) Thanks again!

  14. Hey hsjacobus...I sure do thank you for stopping in.

I love food and new recipes, as can be attested to by my ever growing waist line.

As of late, I have rediscovered the joy of bread baking...and nothing goes as well with fresh bread as soup! Being from Texas, I do love my beans, every kind in every way!

    Thanks again for sharing!

  15. Don't you think there should be some rule that if we like food we shouldn't have to worry about things like waist lines. Only those who seem to hate food and like diet plans should have to worry about such things right? We should get some kind of free pass so we can just eat all we like:)

I drove through Texas with my Hubby once. It was very nice, but I'm afraid I'll let you guys keep the extra large bugs. I'm not so girly I'm scared of them, just happy that where I'm from their small enough to be easily ignored. Of course I'd take your warmer weather in a heart beat:)

Good luck in your bread making sounds heavenly!
