You Gotta Try This...!
I just have to share this with you this morning!
Last night I was looking at some videos and I found some very vocal cat clips! The cats, my Roomies, had been outside for quite a while and wanted in. I paused the video, got up and let the cats in, and after petting them a bit proceeded to finish playing this video.
C.B....the smallest of the two, was in my lap starting a nap. Just as I started the video, he sat straight up, ears at full alert!
I had never even considered that the sound was so realistic that my roomies would start looking for the source! The longer I played the clip, the more upset C.B. became, finally climbing up on the highest place he could find!
Try this...if you have a cat, hold them in your lap and then play this clip! I think you'll laugh yourself silly at the reaction!
Hell, I may just record this sound and put it outside in the front yard around midnight! Full blast, of course!
Let's just say that it's a little payback for those overly loud bass concerts I get treated to at one or two in the morning...know what I mean?
Now, my friends, let's get some coffee and go sit outside for a bit! We can discuss some other ways to extract some justice using this clip...OK?
Play it with a dog in your lap!
ReplyDeleteRod
Hey Rod...
ReplyDeleteI would, but I don't have a dog!
Did you try it? What kind of reaction did you get...? I can only imagine!
Hey, thanks for coming by today...!
mating calls!
ReplyDeleteHey Wyn...
ReplyDeleteWhatever it was, it sure got the attention of my boy, C.B. !
I just had to laugh out loud to see the reaction...
We all need a good laugh from time to time...and this was mine for the day!
Hey, thanks for coming by today!
Sounds like the women down the street after they've been drinking.
ReplyDeleteHey Catman...
ReplyDeleteThat must be a lot of fun to have to liste to...
Mine are not quite THAT bad, but are bad enough!
I sue do appreciate the visit this morning, buddy!
Good Morning, Uncle Hermit~
ReplyDeleteThis was pretty good. 3 of our 9 felines were in the family room with me when I played the clip. It didn't really phase them too much, they looked around and remained on alert, but didn't leave their posts.
It was the 4th one that came running down the stairs that was kind of funny, he came down looking around with a look on his face that could have said "oh no they brought another one home" LOL!
Have a great day!
Hugs~Felinae~
Hey Felinae...
ReplyDeleteCats are just so funny! You never know how they are going to react to something!
I wouldn't trade mine for anything, but I will admit that now that I've seen their reaction to this video...I may end up torment them a bit from time to time!
Gotta take your fun where you find it!
Thanks for the visit today, girl!
Thats hilarious Hermit, sounds like my locale. One of my next door neighbors is a big time cat supporter, feeds the neighborhood and probably has at least 20 or more always hanging about.
ReplyDeleteBe careful if CB or the other one (Sorry, I can't remember its name) decides to take-off quickly. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to 'freak out' my indoor cats with my son's IR RC helicopter. They were sitting in my wife's lap and at first, wondered where the sounds was coming from. The evil green light at front finally gained their attention and watching it, saucer eyed, were tensely watching it in case it attacked.
The helicopter hovered, then swooped close enough to break that invisible 'I'm Getting the Hell Oughta Here!!' barrier and ran off in a blur. I laughed myself silly - cats were throwing me the paw - cats are funny creatures.
I'm sure they are plotting their revenge on me, I know.
Thanks for the clip - made my day.
Hey Anon 5:14...
ReplyDeleteI still laugh when I see the expression on their faces! And they keep looking all over for the other cat!
Shame on me, I know...but it sure was funny!
Hey, thanks for the visit!
...mornin' Jim...so,do they ever fight or what ?...lol
ReplyDelete...anyway,just playin catch up to yer posts, wanted to say,all good, never disappointed, type to ya later Bro...
Hey Ken...
ReplyDeleteGood to see you this morning, buddy!
Naw...mine don't fight each other, at least not when they are inside. But being toms, I'm sure that they get into it at night, as they spend most nights outside!
I'm glad you got the chance to drop by and visit for a bit this morning...!
Hello Special One, I know I'm late.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first opened your blog the space was blank. So I went to coffee to round up my friend so he could open the Chalet I hitched up and pulled it out of the driveway and he just popped it open like nothing. He is 6'4" so all I heard was your just to short. Had to come in an cool down for a bit and now I was able to open your little video. And shame on you for scaring CB. But that was funny it was like watching a couple fight.LOL
Back to work.
Hey JoJo...
ReplyDeleteGood to have a friend that you can count on to do things like that for ya! Won't be a problem with the new one, huh?
I'll be waiting for those picture updates on the MH...
Hey, thanks for stopping by, Sweetie!
Hehehe, don't yah just love cats?! I had to lock Isaac in the bathroom so I could watch this clip. I knew I would be in trouble if he heard it...little beggar chomped me a good one, one night when another cat came to the livingroom window to fight. I went to close the window and holy mackinoley, felt like a bloody cobra got my leg!! Sweet little darlin almost became an outdoor cat after that incident! lol Really wish I could torment him like you're doing with the roomies...but I don't feel like an E.R. visit tonight! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good one Jim!
Hey Cath...
ReplyDeleteThey sure react funny with different things, don't they?
I haven't laughed this much at them since I got my first laser light to play with them...
Guess it doesn't take as much to entertain me as it used to
Hey, thanks for the visit, Cath...!
A belated good morning, Mister Hermit, sir...I was out and about from the get-go this morning, and missed popping in to see you!
ReplyDeleteFunny video - but when I played it, not even an ear flicked. My cat was more interested in settling down in my lap for a nice nap and didn't even twitch at the sound.
Darn.
Shade and Sweetwater,
K
Hey K...
ReplyDeleteI was missing your presence here today! Just not the same without your visit...!
How is the kitten this morning? He sure is a cute little rascal!
Hey, thanks for coming by...even if it's a little later than usual!
That's funny as hell, Hermit! I watched the old "black tuxedo cat looks vaguely annoyed while other cat flips out" routine sooo many times back in my animal shelter days.
ReplyDeleteI've got 10 cats and two of the young 'uns were napping behind me. they lifted their heads about half way through determined there was nobody near them, and calmly went back to sleep. Guess they know the difference between real talk and empty smack!
Hey Mrs. Fuzzy...
ReplyDeleteSometimes they can be so full of surprises! Inside my "roomies" can't seem to get enough petting, but once we go outside...they don't want to be seen getting in my lap or getting a hug!
Sort of like teens in that aspect!
Hey, I sure do appreciate you dropping by today!
