Do You Remember This...?

Time again for some smiles from the past.

Being an old man, I remember quite a few of these. I thought you might think back a lot of years...and see if you do. Just to be doing something a bit different for today, OK?

Or how about this one?

How about one more?

Just a bit of nostalgia for a Saturday! Now, my friends, let's get some fresh coffee and sit outside for a while!

  1. Morning Jim,

Just a little dab will do ya. Great shades of the 50's. Son we ARE getting old.

Need two cups to get going this morning.

    See Ya

  2. I do remember some of these and I do wonder where you get all this stuff! Funny, though, I use Maxwell House and even though my Mr. Coffee gurgles and burps, it doesn't sing to me like the old stove top percolator! Imagine, when booking a Hertz rental asking if they still offer the "20 months to pay" plan! As an adult, I am trying to remember why one would need a 12 page manuel for the decoder. My final thought, Ashley would love Armour Star franks if she was allowed to pick one up out of the flower bed and eat it!! She does tend to like "fresh" things!

  3. Gee, Mister Hermit, sir...Anonymous sort of left you the newest generation of soon-to-be-classic ads, huh?

I love the old ads...they aren't as loud or frenetic as modern advertising and nowhere near as offensive. Audio assault, today's stuff.

I could use the coffee today, sir. Up until three, awake at seven, mind spinning its wheels and won't let me be. Ugh. Stupid brain.

  4. I love those old commersials! It´s only about twenty years since we got commercial tv here, so when we went to the movies it was a must to come early so we didn´t miss the commercials :-) :-) Today we come late to the movies :-) :-) :-)
    Have a great day now!

    Hey Sis...
I think I had one of those decoder things, but can't be sure! I would probably need all 12 pages, though!

  13. you know where I grew up, They were behind the times about 20 years so I too goto see some of those commercials. mostly on rerun shows though. I think if they made some new comercials using some high profile actors in it in Black and White old Style, They would be the talk of any town. I can see a black and white George Clooney pushing VIAGRA OR ENZYTE in my minds eye. Am I twisted or what!

  14. Brylcream, man that brings back memories.

5 AM and my dad shouting and cursing because he put it on his toothbrush.
