Thoughts On Dying...!

Here is something my sister sent to me that I thought I would like to share.

None of us like to think about this, but perhaps we just look at it in the wrong way! That's why thinking about what is said in this picture can be very important. At least, it may cause us to realize that each and every day is important!

If you click on this picture, you'll find it says just exactly what I mean , but in a better fashion. Just something to think about today!

Let's get some coffee. Better sit outside for a while before the weather turns too nasty to enjoy, ya know?

  5. What happens if your job is about making other people die? Does that mean you're really living since they're the ones doing the dying?

  6. Hey Catman...
Guess that's a good question...! Maybe4 it falls under the term "conundrum", ya think?

Hey, thanks for the visit, my friend!

  7. That is an excellent start to the day, sometimes the drivers in our life are the ones that don't make sense any more when you take a step back and evaluate the situation. I am about to take a leap of faith, one that is scary but could provide ample reward in a different way to my current job. As a friend once said, it's not that Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away xx

  8. If only people would realize this when they were younger...but with age also comes wisdom!

  10. Hey Sage...
At some point in our lives, we all need to stop and evaluate just what it is we really want out of life! It may be that we need to make some changes, but just remember that success is not measured by how many times you fall...but how many times you get back up!

Thanks so much for coming by today!

    Hey Rod...
How right you are, my friend. It seems that when we are young, we have all the time in the world...but as we get older, we realize that we don't have as much as we need.

Two of life's treasures...good friends, and enough time to spend with them!

Thanks for coming by today, buddy!

    Hey Anon 7:41...
True, true...make the best of what you have!

I forget who said it, but there is a saying that " The richest people in the world don't have the best of everything , but they make the best of all they have!

    Thanks for the visit today!

  11. Good Morning My Special One, great post this morning. I hope we all learn from it. I sure am trying, of course I too realized it kind of late in life.

  12. Hey JoJo...
As the old saying goes...better late than never!

How many times have we all looked back and thought, if I had only known then what I know now!

I know that you are starting to enjoy life to the fullest and that's the most important thing, don't you think?

Hey sweetie...thanks so much for coming by this morning!

  13. It is an odd sort of blessing, to have known death early and often in life. Odder still to have desired nothing more for so long, while still seeing how beautiful life can be.

Here at Casa de Crazy we are not shy of discussing the inevitable next step in life's journey, Mister Hermit sir, nor remiss in enjoying our lives while we have them.

I believe we should work to live, not live to work...and that each moment should be experienced in its fullest without anticipation of the next. I believe a successful life is one lived with more joy than sorrow, more love, content and compassion than anger, regret, or bitterness.

I fervently wish that people could find themselves living in their Dharma, living their life's purpose and so not simply happy but deeply content, too.

Then death doesn't loom, isn't the shadowy mystery that terrifies so many...rather, it's another experience, followed by countless more, and nothing to be feared.

    Shade and Sweetwater,
    K

  14. A really good blog today!
I´ve never been afraid of dying or thinking of it, perhaps it´s the swedish mentality :-) :-)

In fact, a man that worked where I work died a couples of weeks ago. A big vein bursted in his head and he was gone within seconds. After that we all dicussed about this and what a good way to go this was. Fast and without pain. But perhaps that is our swedish mentality´:-)
    Have a great day now!
    Christer.

  15. Hey K...
Thank you for saying these thoughts in such a beautiful way. I think it's important to discuss dying with the young, so that they know that its just a part of life!

Only by open discussion and education in life skills is the fear of the unknown banished and dispelled.

Thanks so much for the comment and for the visit, my beautiful, wise friend!

    Hey Christer...
It just goes to show that it could happen at any time to all of us.

I see nothing wrong about discussing the death and the way he died...at all.

Thanks, my friend, for coming by toda...I really appreciate it!

  16. I liked the work to live, not live to work saying.
Also one of my favorite: to soon we get old to late we get smart.

Besides I plan on living to 150 just to piss everybody off.

Death is always part of living. Should not be feared. We started dieing the day we were born.

I've rambled to much. Time for coffee.

    See Ya

I couldn't agree with you more, my friend!

No need to worry about things we cannot change.
