Break Out The Rope...!

Once in a while, there is a crime that just screams for strong, strong justice!

I count among these two of these worst I know of ...crimes against children and crimes against older people! Especially helpless, bed-ridden older people! There is a special place in Hell for people that not only commit this type of crime, but think it's funny to do so!

I would like to be the one in charge of deciding what the punishment would be, but I can't say what without offending some of the readers of this article!

Suffice it to say, what I have in mind is not for the squeamish!

Greasy prank at Calif. nursing home leads to 6 arrests

UKIAH, Calif. — Six former Northern California nursing home employees are under arrest on charges they covered several elderly patients with cream to make them slippery as part of a prank against their co-workers.

California Attorney General Jerry Brown announced the arrests Tuesday, calling the alleged abuse "despicable behavior."

All of the patients at Valley View Skilled Nursing Facility in Ukiah suffered from dementia, Brown said, and were unable to object to their treatment.

The six employees have been fired. They face one misdemeanor count each of injury to elder or dependent adult; battery committed on elder or a dependent adult; conspiracy; and battery committed while on hospital property.

Bail has been set for $7,500 each.

I'm not sure what kind of sicko finds any humor in this, but I would caution you NOT to laugh at this type of action when my friends and I are around! You might be in for a very nasty surprise, believe me!

C'mon, my friends, let's get some fresh coffee and sit outside! Climbing up to another 100 degree day, so we have to hurry with the first cup!

  1. Oh Jim, I hadn't heard about this, this is worse than horrible. The people who did this are not human, I worked in a nursing home years ago, all those folks wanted was some semblance of their dignity and respect from the workers. I did everything I could to help anyone out who was in that place. One patient told me one night I should be a nurse because I had a "gentle touch". I could go on and on with stories that would hurt your heart. Thanks for posting this--it hopefully will make someone think.

  2. Hey Kathie...
It just makes me sick...the things that some people do to one another!

It seems like nearly every day we hear another story about the evil things inflicted on folks by those who are charged with protecting and caring for them!

It's enough to make you ashamed to have these pieces of filth as part of the same species!

Sorry to go off like this, but I am so tired of the hand slaps being given out to this kind of slime by the courts that I could just scream!

I think it's time to put some real teeth back into our so-called system of justice! If the courts won't or can't do it...then maybe a little frontier justice is overdue, ya know?

Thanks, Kathie, for dropping in today!

  5. Jim, (my apology in advance) these are the people that when the SHTF will steal your food after they violate the ones you love, then move on to the next family. BE PREPARED to take action....

Sorry buddy I am in a funky mood this morning.

  9. Let the punishment fit the crime. Respect has gone down the tubes along with taking responsibility. They need to be horsewhipped!

  10. ( biting tongue) My punishment for those punks isn't printable. Sadly in today's screwed up liberal justice system, they'll get off with a slap on the wrist.

    ReplyDelete
  11. They should be turned over to the families of the mis-treated and the family members should be allowed to dish out the punishment that they want.

  12. That's terrible! Dementia patients are already hard to take care of without someone being cruel. One day they will be elderly & had better hope that what went around doesn't come back home.

  13. Hey Christer...
The only thing I can figure is that they must be completely devoid of any compassion at all!

No punishment is good enough for them!

Thanks, buddy, for coming by today!

    Hey ER...
Maybe it's time to get back to the public whippings! Let these jerks know just what it feels like to be humiliated!

Trouble is, most of them probably wouldn't feel like they had done anything wrong!

    I don't know what's wrong with people now days, I really don't!

Hey, thanks for coming by today!

    Hey Chucky...
Right you are about that! Should be marked for early disposal, I'm thinking!

    Just my opinion, of course!

Thanks, buddy, for coming by today!

    Hey Trailshome...
Certainly a lot more appropriate than getting a slap on the wrist!

Of course, if they had been brought up right, then probably they wouldn't have done this!

Regardless of the reason, they are sick and should be treated as such!

I appreciate you coming by today!

    Hey China...
The moral fabric of America is becoming frayed at the edges, that's for sure!

Every day I get more and more disgusted with the stories I hear on the news. It's certainly a different world than the one I was brought up in!

I think we need a LOT more clorine in the gene pool!

Thanks, my friend, for coming by today!

    Hey karthikeyan...
I appreciate the visit this morning! I'll pop over and check out your blog sometime today!

    Thanks for coming by!

    Hey Momlady...
Couldn't agree with you more, Lady! Thank goodness we grew up in a different time, huh?

Bad thing is, these types seem to be multiplying!

Thanks so much for coming by today!

    Hey Ben...
I know exactly what you mean, Ben! A slap on the wrist, and a job recommendation!

It's a sick world, my friend!

Thanks for the visit today, buddy!

    Hey Dizzy...
That's a very good idea! Then they would get a taste of proper justice, I think!

    Just makes me ill!

Thanks for coming by this morning, my friend!

  14. Hey Stephanie...
Folks like this seem to have lost their humanity! Sad to say, there seems to be more and more of them everyday!

Good to see you again, girl! Thanks for coming by today!

  15. Good Morning My Special One
This is truely horrible. An all they got was a misdemeanor charge for abusing helpless old people! Its the system that allows sicko's like this to do there dirty deeds. I agree with everyone else about what needs to be done on our side of the fence. Hand them over to us and we will show them justice

Feed them to the hogs like in the movie Hannibal. Nursing homes need to start putting undercover patients in there to catch these scumbags. Thanks for the information.

  17. Hey JoJo...
Maybe they will run into some of the family members outside the court room! Then they might get a little taste of true justice!

Sweetie, thanks for coming by today!

    Hey Mechanic...
Something like that is certainly called for!

Where in the world do these types come from? Makes you really wonder, doesn't it?

    Thanks for coming by today!

  18. It is a sick and twisted world in which we live.

I too believe that crimes against children, elderly, and animals have got to have some kind of special punishment. If it were me...well let's just mutilation is too good for the cowards that commit acts of violence against the defenseless or weak.

I will end it on that note before I go off on a tirade. :)

    Thanks Uncle Hermit,

  19. It's really sad to read or hear about stories like this, HJ. And there are countless more cases of abuse out there for every few we hear about - sad commentary on folks.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hey Felinae...
It's sad indeed that folks like this are allowed to walk around free!

No punishment, no jail time to speak of...just allowed to pay a fine and get on with their lives!

It's about time we started treating these criminals like just what they are...CRIMINALS!

Thanks, Felinae, for coming by today!

    Hey Beatrice...
What can we say? Every day more stories like this pop up and are dismissed by many because folks are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers!

I don't even know what to say anymore! They just keep on coming!

Hey, thanks for dropping in today!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow. That's a whole new level of disrespect, disregard and outright abuse of human beings. What's missing in someone's emotional makeup for them to do something like this? Why do we, as a society, seem to take it so lightheartedly, almost to condone it?

  22. longtime reader...1st time commenting...this is soo sad...
No one deserves to be treated like this..

  23. Hi Jim

Im with you on this one for sure. How disgusting some people can be. I am so annoyed that they get off with just a fine, when will they realise fines do not hurt the way they hope and disgusting people will remain that way until someone gives them a bloody good lesson on what its like to be treated that way!!! The justice system of the world are a joke ... children and the elderly both deserve our utmost care.

Anyhow ... I just dropped by for a morning cup and say to hi I hope you are well.

  24. Hey Chell...
I wish I knew what makes people do things like this and then sit back and laugh about it!

It's a very sick world anymore! Very sick!

Hey, I appreciate you coming by today!

    Hey Sue...
Glad to see you commenting today! I agree that no one deserves to be abused, especially like this degrading fashion!

We need to get these sickos in a very small room with the door locked...and let some good ol' boys render little "frontier justice" on their butts!

Maybe it would teach them some respect...maybe not! Sure couldn't hurt!

    Thanks for dropping in today!

    Hey Missi Mi...
Long time since I've seen you! Always glad to see my friends from down under drop in!

I hope you are behaving...or at least trying! The main thing is to have fun, ya know?
