Here is something my sister sent to me that I thought I would like to share.
None of us like to think about this, but perhaps we just look at it in the wrong way! That's why thinking about what is said in this picture can be very important. At least, it may cause us to realize that each and every day is important!

That is an excellent start to the day, sometimes the drivers in our life are the ones that don't make sense any more when you take a step back and evaluate the situation. I am about to take a leap of faith, one that is scary but could provide ample reward in a different way to my current job. As a friend once said, it's not that Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away xx

It is an odd sort of blessing, to have known death early and often in life. Odder still to have desired nothing more for so long, while still seeing how beautiful life can be.
ReplyDeleteHere at Casa de Crazy we are not shy of discussing the inevitable next step in life's journey, Mister Hermit sir, nor remiss in enjoying our lives while we have them.
I believe we should work to live, not live to work...and that each moment should be experienced in its fullest without anticipation of the next. I believe a successful life is one lived with more joy than sorrow, more love, content and compassion than anger, regret, or bitterness.
I fervently wish that people could find themselves living in their Dharma, living their life's purpose and so not simply happy but deeply content, too.
Then death doesn't loom, isn't the shadowy mystery that terrifies so many...rather, it's another experience, followed by countless more, and nothing to be feared.

ReplyDeleteI´ve never been afraid of dying or thinking of it, perhaps it´s the swedish mentality :-) :-)
In fact, a man that worked where I work died a couples of weeks ago. A big vein bursted in his head and he was gone within seconds. After that we all dicussed about this and what a good way to go this was. Fast and without pain. But perhaps that is our swedish mentality´:-)

Only by open discussion and education in life skills is the fear of the unknown banished and dispelled.

Death is always part of living. Should not be feared. We started dieing the day we were born.
