It's Worth Repeating...!

This was from an article written several years ago. I feel that it is a very insightful and wise way to put things.

Sometimes the grains of truth are hidden in a little humor, and I'm thinking that this is one of those times. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did!

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone....

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first pay check.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger..

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion, today is special.

22. Over prepare, and then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone Else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Some of these sayings ring so true...it's scary! I think we can all find something in these tidbits that fit us to a tee...

Let's get some coffee and adjourn to the patio, OK my friend?

Hiya Uncle Hermit,

I had not seen this before, thanks for sharing it.

Yes, a lot of those do ring true, and some of them made me think that maybe I take things a little to seriously at times.

Thanks again, my friend now lets go and get that coffee :D

Hey Rod...
I have to agree with you, my friend. As old as these thoughts are, it is still good to see them from time to time written down.

Some lessons are just as true today as they ever were.

Thanks for coming by, my friend!

Great post and always good to refresh these things. I wish there was a way to keep them in the forefront, might make life a little easier and the mistakes a lot less. Good Sunday to you Jim.

Good morning my Special Friend,
Great post. This was something I really needed today. You always come through at the right time.
Lets have a few cups and I will be on my way to move out everything, shampoo carpets and call realtor.
Done! Time to move on.

Hey Vlad...
I just went over and read the speech. Hard to say, but so many people (writers especially) say things that are very similiar, it's hard to know sometimes who said it first!

I'm like you...I like the speech reguardless of who wrote it! Thanks for sharing the link. and for dropping by!

Hey Rae...
It would be nice if they would guide our acions a bit more...!

I have used a lot of these sayings in one form or another many times and find them to be timeless!

Thanks so much for dropping by today...

Hey Tony...

I appreciate your thought. Your sister had asked once if I knew how lucky I was to have such a friend, I sure do.
2 of my daughters are going to meet me there today and hopefully we can finish up. I'm bringing the shampooer with me I can at least get most of that done today.
Talk at you later.

...true words of wisdom are timeless, lots of this list falls into that category...can i add one ?...(don't know who/when/where it came from, but i've use it for many years) "whether you think you can,or think you can't...yer probably right"...

...or this one..."it's a 50/50/90,you have a fifty-fifty chance of getting it right, ninety percent of the time you'll choose wrong"...

...Thanx Jim

Hey JoJo...
At least you'll have some help and that will be nice! Just don't overdo it, my friend!

Just keep thinking that you're almost finished with this part of it!

See ya later, Sweet one...

Hey Ken...
I haven't heard either one of those, but I would say they are definitely worth adding to the list! I really like the first one...

Thanks for coming by, buddy!
