Somethings You Should Not Do...!

You know, most of us get the message that we just can't do everything we may want to!

Most of the time, common sense will tell us ahead of time that what we want to do may not be a good idea! However, as much as I hate to say it, some of us are not blessed with good common sense and have to be reminded.

Sometimes a good picture can help...like maybe this one!

Now if the picture somehow misses the mark, then let's see if maybe music can help a bit...

I hope this gets across the message that you can't always do what you want without getting permission! I certainly hope so...

Now, my friend, you definitely have my permission to join me for a cup of coffee on the patio! Whadda ya say...?

Aww, dang, Mister Hermit, Sir - I was SO looking forward to roller skating with the neighborhood buffalo...now my bucket-list will never be completed. Hey, wait - does that mean I'll never die??

I like the sign...

My Mum has a saying, learned from my grandfather: "I guess I'll go do something, even if it's wrong." Dunno why your post made me think of it...

At any rate, sir, thanks for the smile and the reminder...I hope your day is a fine one.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K

morn'n
good coffee!
Ladies, not to be more paranoiac than usual, but how many of you keep the house doors locked? Picture youself vacuuming the bedroom and suddenly confronted by five large, muscular, hopped up, grinning, sexually aroused streetscum.
I do tactfully remind my wife to keep the doors locked. She thinks I nag. I keep telling her that love means I care what happens to you. sigh.

I would not be surprised if some of you wonder at my concerns re personal safety. If you will take the time to read this thread
you may learn much about attiudes.

(here is my input to this thread)
I was a Corrections Officer for nine years. All the convicts that I met had lived many years -- the first part of their lives -- in a free society where they had ample opportunity to become habilitiated. Every one of
them had somehow failed to be come habilitated and had committed serious felonies and were sent to prison.
How does one "rehabiitate" those who were never habilitated in the first place?
Dr George Beto, Director-emeritus Texas Dept Corrections was director of Criminal Studies
Sam Houston State U, Huntsville, Texas. One evening in class Dr Beto remarked, " For every one hundred felonies there are three arrests and one and one half convictions." I asked, " Sir. What is the point of having prisons?"
Dr Beto replied, " Prisons are magnificently irrelevant."
Thus for every violent, predatory thug in prison there are 50 on the streets.
Eat, drink and be wary.

Countless decisions in my life have been made on the assumption that it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission...

And,Viad, I don't vacuum. And not all ladies are delicate, helpless and clueless. Just saying.

Good morning Jim,
Now I'm hungry for watermelon. I loved the video. Thanks.

Dori. I'm glad that not all ladies are dunces.
Visited your blog. You write well, and you make beautiful babies. Alyse is lovely!

Everyone is asking, "where is the birth certificate of that person?"

I don't know. Haven't seen it. Have you?

Hi there Jim;

I always found that asking permission was easier than looking in the barrel of a 12 guage.

Well said my friend.I'll take you up on the coffee.

I wish I had gotten that message when I was younger. Maybe I wouldn't have screwed up so many times. It's a shame we have to get old before our brain really starts to process the common sense we were born with

Hey K...
I like that saying your mum has! As far as the skating in a buffalo herd, I say as long as you know the possible consequinces, then go for it if you want!

Have a pleasant day, my friend, and thanks for coming by...

Hey Vlad...
I'm sure that the wife knows that your main concern is for her safety. Locking doors and windows should just be second nature, especially for those of us living in the city!

In the country, let the dog and the shotgun serve as security.

Thanks for coming by, Vlad!

Hey Dori...
Sometimes permission is easier to get than forgiveness...as the latter is often asked while the owner is angry and in a bad mood!

Might be a case of better safe than sorry!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Hey Kris...
I'm really sorry that I made you want some watermelon, but I'll bet the kids would help you eat it!.

Do it in the back yard, and that way you can wash everyone off with the garden hose after they get the seeds and juice all over themselves...

I appreciate you coming by today!

Hey Tony...
My dad told me once about worrying about rock salt in a shotgun during some of their watermelon raids. I guess the scare was enoungh to make them wary!

I'm too slow to do anything but ask permission anymore, ya know?

Thanks for the visit, buddy!

Hey Rae...
I know what you mean! I sometimes wonder how I managed to make it this far!

The old saying comes to mind "Too soon old, too late smart!"...that about says it for me!

I certainly appreciate the visit today!

Good Morning Mr. Hermit,
Love that song, and good advise from all. I learned the saying, I think I will do something even if its wrong, from my ex.
I'm ready for some coffee please.

Hey JoJo...
Never hurts to have another saying around that helps us to smile a bit! Having a smile trigger is a good thing, I'm thiking!

Welcome to the patio this morning, my good friend!

Hey Lydia...
Good to see you again, girl! Yeah, some folks can get creative with the signs for sure!

Glad you liked the music and I appreciate you coming by!

Good Afternoon, Uncle Hermit

I kinda like to think I have too much common sense, but I am sure on occasion I have not used it to it's full capacity. :D In those instances I agree with Dori's post...
"It is much easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission." ;D

I'll have to catch the coffee next time, I'm headed out to work.

Have a great afternoon and a wonderful evening.

Hugs~Felinae~

Hey Felinae...
I'm afraid that many of us don't use our common sense to it's full capacity.

Have a good day at work...and thanks for the visit!
