Thinking About The Past...!

Today I decided to see just how long I've been blogging. Turns out I've been doing this a lot longer than I thought.

My first post was way back on 11/17/2007...that's a long time ago. Total post during that time comes to 3802, counting today. Even when I don't have a real post, I try and let folks know that there won't be a post coming or that I'm taking the day off. I don't want anyone to worry if I miss a day or to wonder if I'm sick, ya know? I figure that as long as I put something on here folks will know all is good.

We have lost a few good friends during that time and that's always sad. I think of all my friends that are on the blogs with me as my second family. Most I have never met face to face, but I feel as though I know each and everyone of them like they lived right next door.

Anyway, I wanted to take this little trip down memory lane this morning. I appreciate all of the people that check up on me daily, and I hope we can spend many more mornings out on the patio together with a fresh, hot cup of coffee.

Oh, and watch out for the little kitties...won't ya!

Aww. You know it may sound silly but I teared up a little reading this. I missed not being able to comment for a year or so there, but always read your post everyday. I only have three blogs I follow daily, but they do feel like extended family, and I keep you all in my prayers. I'll bring peanut butter cookies today. See you on the patio:))

We aren't a huge group of people who blog together, so we do tend to get to know each other. It's been a pleasure to have you around. Nice to share a cup of coffee, even if we are miles apart.

It is funny how people get to know each other and care for one another even when they haven't met face to face. I have made some good friends thru blogs and I count each and every one of you my friend. I do so enjoy sharing a cup of coffee with you every morning.

I haven't been posting as long or as much as you but still feel connected. One of these days we might even meet? You are one of two people I follow. All others I used to follow are no longer posting. Keep going HJ. You help make my day.

Hey Mamahen...
Now you know how I love those peanut butter cookies! One of my biggest weaknesses.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hey Sixbears...
All of us serious coffee drinkers have to stick together, right? North or South, the gathering of the coffee troops stays strong!
Thanks, big guy, for coming over today!

Hey Linda...
As I see it, we are all the more fortunate to have one another to hang out with and to watch our six. It's comforting to have folks that keep an eye out for ya.
Thanks so much for the visit today!

Hey Momlady...
What can I say, but I'm glad to be connected to ya in some small way. Who know...we may end up meeting in person some day, and that would be a hoot!
Thanks for being there and for stopping by today!

Hey Jo...
We have been through some rough times together, that's for sure! I'll always consider you one of my very special friends, and that's the truth.
Thanks for dropping by this morning!

Bubba, it's nice to know that others think you almost as special as I do.
Like several others, I only read a few daily, and have "met" some other friends through this blog. Keep it up! I can always find this whether I'm in Darwin or Dublin, and can't call to hear your voice.

Big hugs ~
