The War That Wasn't...!

It would be nice if more of the conflicts around the world could be like this one.

The Spanish town of Huéscar was at war with Denmark for nearly two centuries. Not a single shot was fired, and no one died – because as soon as war was declared in 1809, everyone completely forgot about it. A peace treaty was finally signed in 1981, when a historian happened upon the official declaration and realized they technically should have been fighting each other for the past 172 years.

You can read more about this unknown conflict here.

Coffee out on the patio this morning, where the temps are still rising.

To be in a time when a city could be at war with another country... Things change!

Hey Gorges...
That's what I'm thinking as well.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hey Linda...
Certainly better than the other kind.
Thanks for coming over today!

Hey Rob...
Boy, they certainly do.
Thanks for the visit today!

Hey Mamahen...
The civilized way to fight a war, I guess.
Thanks for stopping by today!

If you got to have a war, that is the kind of war I would want. That had to be the longest war in history and no one got shot but just died of old age (grin).

Hey Dizzy...
Certainly has to be some kind of record.
Thank you for the visit today!

Oh wouldn't this world be a much better place if things went that way a war of no war.

Bit chilly here this morning but I'll take that and in 70's for the high which I am very happy with after being in the mid 90's a few days ago. See you all on the patio
