Very windy and kinda chilly here in the big city...but at least the sun is shining now. It was a little rainy this morning. Just typical weather for this time of year...but tomorrow it's supposed to be sunny and in the 70s, so can't complain too much!
Thought I would put a little humor here today in the form of an early George Carlin...one of my favorite Carlin routines! Give it a watch..ok? Enjoy!

Something a little different....
I wanted to repeat something here that I got in an email from a friend...I had seen it before, but thought that today would be a good time to revisit it. It's long, but please bear with me and read the whole thing...ok?
**************
Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.A Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the w ay to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when the technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
If you don't send this to at least 8 people....Who cares?

Good news from the government...
According to the tax form that I received from the government yesterday, I am pretty well off! I am currently living at an income level just above the 2007 poverty guidelines established by the U.S. Census people that determine that sort of thing! I don't know whether to celebrate the fact that I'm above the line...or to feel really sad that I am above the current poverty line by so little! Thank goodness I am not trying to raise a family in this current economic disaster...where the accepted value of a U.S. dollar is 4 cents!
However, I count myself lucky because I have a roof over my head, food on my table, and clothes to wear! Most of all, I have my health...or at least I'm healthier than some folks! It's sad to think that in a country that used to be so rich, we currently can boast that statistics show that 1 in 4 Americans cannot afford health care and therefore are NOT covered by some type of health plan
That's a lot to think about over my morning coffee...maybe I had better fortify it some! Back with more later!

Sunday Confusion...
Now let me see if I have this straight...on Saturday evenings some people stand at different street corners in my city and , I'm sure, in other cities as well selling newspapers. The paper they are selling is the SUNDAY paper. Since they are selling the Sunday paper on Saturday, does that mean that nothing at all newsworthy is going to happen on Saturday night after the papers are printed? Nothing? I really find that hard to believe! And if the paper they are selling on Saturday is the Sunday paper...then what is the paper the very same people are selling on the very same street corners on Sunday mornings? Is it the Monday paper? Is it a new and improved version of the Sunday paper sold on Saturday? Why would anyone buy a Sunday paper on Saturday knowing that there will be a new and improved version of the Sunday paper on sale Sunday morning? Does that make sense to anyone? What am I missing here?
Next thing I really don't understand at all has to do with cell phones...and it may be simple, but I don't have a cell phone and I'm a little slow to catch on, so help me understand! The telephone was invented so that a person in one place could talk in real time to a person in another place...right? The operative word here is TALK! Now unless someone is a doctor, a lawyer, a fireman or policeman or someone else that needs to be contacted immediately at times, I don't see the need for cell phones. What I really don't understand though, is the need for a phone that is really equipped for texting, or the sending of text messages. What ? Pay extra for a telephone that I can use to send text messages with...and not for talking? I thought that telephones were for talking on...see why I'm confused?
I know, I know...it's probably just cause I'm old and behind the times, but to me if a paper is sold on Saturday it should be the Saturday paper...and if you have an object called a cell phone then it should be used as a phone and that means talking! Like I said, I'm confused!!
All this deep thinking has made me realize that I need some fresh coffee while I think about this...want a cup?

A Little Rant...
I have to get this off my chest so I can stay sane (?) for the rest of the day! In my wanderings around the web visiting some sites that I get paid to visit, I was assaulted several times by the rudeness of some sites! Picture this...you click on a web site. You know ahead of time that you are going to get a sales pitch, after all that's why they pay you to visit. However, besides the written page they throw in a couple of sales killing tricks guaranteed to alienate anyone halfway interested! The first is LOUD built-in audio that automatically kicks in...but the rude part is that there is no way to click it off. No pause, no stop options, no menu at all! Then they add a SECOND audio on top of that...so you are listening to 2 of them! And finally the topper...a fly-in, or pop-up, or slide-in, or drop-in or one of those type of things that totally block the page you might have read if not for all the distractions! Get my point?
Just my opinion, but the sales pages I have always been most likely to read are the simple, straight forward pages with no tricks or loud automatic audio with no cut off options. And while I'm at it, please stop using the term "GROW your business" " GROW your income" and that sort of thing! If you want to GROW something, then GROW interested in GROWING your garden and flowers, and then GROW attracted to the single neighbor lady (or gentleman) down the street, and then you can spend the next few years GROWING used to one another! See the difference?
Enough for now...coffee time! I feel better now that I've spouted off a bit! Back later...

Friday again...
Or Aloha Friday, as Blondie likes to say on her blog. Hope it's warm where you are, cause it's COLD here...cold and rainy! 39 degrees last I looked and the rain makes it seem even colder. Certainly a good day to stay inside and sip on something warm.
Well, I have garnered another 27,000 + points at NetWinners, which means I can add $25.00 to the MasterCard I won when I get it, or I can use the points to get a gift card to one of the many vendors offered...like Barnes and Nobles (can you say NEW BOOKS?). That is what I'll probably do...love new books! Doesn't really take too long to add up the points when you have over 30 sites to play at. By the way, once you join at one of the sites, you are a member at all of them. Makes it pretty handy, huh? Why not go to the site and look at the prizes offered...?
My Mother is now 82 and her Gentleman Friend is 95...on Fridays they get together and go to what they call the "old folk's home" to call bingo for the residents there. Then the two of them go out to eat and end up back at my Mother's house to play cards until around 9:00 or 10:00 pm. Normally Fred would drive himself, but a while back he fell and broke his hip and arm. The irony of this is that he had just purchased a new car, and was at the dealership to have a 2 week inspection done on it. That's where he fell...and the doctor's won't let him drive just yet which is driving him crazy! Mom can't see well enough at night to drive safely, so I volunteered to go with her to take Fred home tonight and do the driving. My token good deed for the day!
I'm glad to say that 10dollarswonder and e2epay both are rocking right along, regular as clock work! In fact, I just bought another position in e2epay. Glad something is working right!
Coffee time for me...second pot of the day! Seems to be the thing to do with the rain hanging around so long. Ya'll stay warm now, ya hear...?

Thursday thoughts...
A couple of things I was reminded of today that I want to pass on...basic things, but very important to remember!
1) Never, never use white vinegar to clean your coffee maker at 5:00 am unless you are awake enough to rinse said coffee maker well. Very, very well! Trust me on this!
2) The steam rising from the freshly poured cup of coffee is probably a good indication that the coffee is HOT! Very, very hot! Again, take my word for it!
3) Almost a sure-fire way to guarantee you will spill some of the freshly poured, vinegar flavored, extremely hot coffee on yourself is to put on anything white!
4) This one I should know from years of experience. Never, never have that third cup of coffee when you are on your way to a place you KNOW you are going to stand in line for an extended length of time! The results of this can definitely ruin the rest of your day!
Oh, and one more thing I might mention just in passing...toll booth operators have absolutely NO sense of humor at 6:00 in the morning when you offer them a twenty for a $1.50 toll, even if it's in jest! So be forewarned, OK? OK!

Back to Winter...
Present temp is low 40's with slow rain...again today! I knew that Mother Nature was only teasing yesterday with the Spring type weather...that's Texas weather for ya! Oh well, that's the way it goes.
Slow day today in most ways...tomorrow I have to go across town early to go to the V.A. for my monthly visit. I'm hoping that the traffic won't be to bad due to the rain and cold. Always a gamble on Houston freeways...a big gamble in bad weather! People here don't know how to drive in any kind of nasty weather. Be nice to stay at home, but I need to go, so....
I want to tell you about a game site I started playing at. I usually don't play games, but something about this site drew me in. I found it to be both fun and profitable, since I've won 2 re loadable Master cards (loaded with $25 each) and almost have enough points to get another. I might opt for one of the many gift cards offered instead. Not too bad for a site that's free to play at! The name is NetWinner and if you look at their forum, you can find at least 30 different sites to play and win points and cash! Why don't you take a look?
Free is a very good price...want some fresh coffee?

75 and sunny...
Mother Nature is trying to either make us think that Spring is coming early...or is playing a Hugh practical joke on all of us! No matter the reason, I'll take it! I even went from a sweatshirt to my worn out t-shirt and was perfectly comfortable outside...until the clouds came in and the drizzle started! Always something, huh?
Blondie and J.S. have started a fun little contest on their blogs. Has to do with the many reasons that we should enjoy working at home! Why don't you jump on over to their sites and take a look...can't hurt, and we all need a little fun once in a while!
Speaking of working at home...10dollarswonder and e2epay sre still rocking right along! I'm glad to say that FastProfitPro is moving along as well! I certainly can't complain and plan to stay involved with these programs for a while!
Gonna finish the post tonight with a video I found of a beautiful classical guitar piece...and it's played by a true master! Wonderful to listen to...enjoy! By the way, fresh coffee after the music, OK?
IMPORTANT P.S....
Right after posting tonight I recieved the news that FastProfitPro went belly-up! A true bummer , so I will be removing them from my list and from my mind. Knew it would happen, but it's still always a dissapointment to see a program go down so fast. Another reminder to never play with the rent money!

Blue Monday...??
I know it's Monday and that it's blue Monday and that it's fairly early...but I had a quick couple of notes that I wanted to pass on while they were still fresh in my mind! Sometimes things get lost in there and I can't find them for a long time...
I finally figured out why I like having a blog...it's because having a blog is like talking to yourself electronically and no one thinks it's strange. Doesn't seem too long ago that if we saw someone walking down the street talking to themselves, we would cross over to the other side to avoid them! Now days, when we see someone talking to themselves, we take it for granted that they are on a cell phone with someone, or talking into a pocket recorder making memos for the office.
Strange behavior is more readily accepted than it used to be...which explains why people like me can talk to themselves electronically and appear normal! Sort of scary, huh? Deep thoughts from a shallow mind...
I don't worry about much...after all, Hermits have no peer pressure!

Superbowl Sunday...
Is coming up soon for those of you that follow that type of thing. I never have been much of a sports fan...just never got into it much. But I understand all the hype and build-up, and don't fault those that enjoy it. We all have our own little favorite things and most of the time someone else thinks that it's a waste of time. That, my friends, is called life.
I finally followed Blondie's lead and joined All-Teamed-Up! Even though I could have joined for free...I opted for the paid upgrade. Call me crazy...but something tells me that this one might be a good thing! The upgrade is a one time fee of $35 but I consider it a good investment compared to some of the garbage I have wasted money on in the past, ya know?
All this excitement means I gotta make some fresh coffee...want some?

Barely still Saturday...
I don't know why I wait so long to post...bound to be a reason. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I pigged out on fresh yeast rolls, and on homemade pudding cake, and of course fresh coffee? All that culinary exercise naturally called for a short nap...and that in turn threw me behind in my wanderings across the Net! (Well, it sounded like a good excuse to me!)
Still cold today (about 40) and a little windy. Supposed to warm up to about 54 or so tomorrow and that would be OK with me. I'm not real fond of the cold. Getting old, I guess.
I'm cutting it short today so that I can finish my web stuff and then, finish my nap. Gotta go rest up before I go to bed...just in case I have some good dreams, ya know? See ya on the flip side!

Friday and Rain still...
Since the rain and cold just makes me want to do nothing but hibernate, I thought I would just leave you today with just a little music instead of boring you with words...enjoy!

A Little Reflection...
I got a instant message from an old friend of mine that lives in the Yukon. As you can imagine, this time of the year it gets pretty cold! Not cold like here in Texas...but COLD! I mean, when the ground is frozen up to 4 inches deep then to me it's cold. Luckily my friend goes Sun Chasing for a while during the colder months, so she gets a chance to enjoy a little warmth and relax in short sleeves for a time.
I always enjoy hearing from my Internet buddies, especially the ones that live in a part of the world that is so different from where I live. I have one in New Zealand, one in North Dakota, one in the Yukon, one in Colorado and several in Canada...and some more scattered all over the globe.
When used properly, the Internet can be a wonderful way to stay in touch with friends and family, to learn of new and marvelous products and technology becoming available each and every day, and to research anything under the sun! I love it...I really do!
Even Old Geezers like me can learn to be fairly proficient with this media...sort of on a more level playing field. Who knows...someday I may even be able to earn a little extra money using my PC, which would be great! Until then, I'll be more than happy with the ability to stay in touch with my special friends and of course, to make some new ones!
Let's have some coffee...whadda ya say?

Rainy Tuesday...
And it couldn't be more dreary looking outside if it tried. It's one of those days when it won't really rain...and won't clear up. I really can't enjoy a day like this, except to stay indoors and read.
Should be a better looking day tomorrow, but then any day we get through is a good one, right? Be a good day to go to the library, don't you think? Then come home and make a pot of homemade soup and maybe bake some bread Hot soup, fresh bread and butter, and washed down with hot coffee! What could be better?
Sounds like a good way to spend the day to me...of course, you are invited if ya want, OK? OK...

Let's talk Money...!
Following the lead of a couple of the bloggers I read daily, I recently joined 2 programs that are non-surfing type of programs...and I am completely happy with both of them. If you haven't looked at 10dollarswonder and e2epay may I suggest that you do? Can't hurt to look, right?
I used to be one of the many devoted to pay-to-surf sites. I mean I spent a lot of money and time trying to find the one program that I could count on to help me make some extra money. One by one all of the programs eventually faded away.... with the exception of one or two. But I had already withdrawn my money from those before I lost with them also. Just got jumpy, ya know?
So far I have no such concerns with these 2 programs. Both seem to be very steady and I enjoy all of the activity that they generate. Nice to finally see some profit for a change!
If this keeps up, I may get a new coffeemaker sooner than expected...want a refill?

Sunday Mystery...
I like Sundays...I don't know why. Sunday has always been a day to sort of kick back and take things easy, I guess. A time to reflect on things and seek answers in our minds to unexplained mysteries.
Now normally I like a good mystery. Some of my favorite books are mystery novels. But there are some mysteries that drive me nuts! For instance, why is it that everyone around me seem to have a suggestion as to what I should be doing each day? What is it about my keeping to myself that bothers friends and family so much?
Society has always seemed to be of the opinion that people who wanted to be alone must have something wrong with them. Why? Do people feel threatened by those of us that like being alone? Do we somehow pose some unknown danger? I just don't understand. My personal belief is that only people that like themselves will choose to be alone and, for the most part, I like myself. To me there is a difference in being alone, and in being lonely. I am not lonely, I like to be alone. End of story...
Now I appreciate the concerns and suggestions of all who feel that they can somehow make my life better or more enjoyable for me. I really do...but the truth is that I just want to be myself. I want to read, sit on the patio and watch the birds and squirrels, calmly stare off into space for hours on end and ponder the many wonders of the universe. I want to sit in a dark room and listen to the sound of the night, or to a song that I enjoy playing over and over again just to hear that certain part that touches me.
I don't want to be thought of as strange, dangerous, weird, or lonely. I only want to be able to quietly sit and enjoy my coffee....sometimes in the company of my good friends, ya know?
Like a refill...??

Saturday ...are you sure?
I seem to lose track of time more and more lately...don't know why, though. I must be distracted or something. I can't imagine that age has anything to do with it, ya know? You can stop laughing now, ok?
Warm today in the big city...in the 70's, sunny, and beautiful until it started to rain this afternoon. Still raining tonight, although not hard. Just enough to make me sleepy. But then again, it doesn't take a lot to make me sleepy anymore. Wonder why that is? Again with the laughing...???
Is anyone paying any attention to the political races going on? If so, maybe you can explain it all to me...I will admit to being totally ignorant about politics. I don't understand why a bunch of rich guys I've never met would spend millions to win a job that only pays about $50,000 or so a year! Seems a little strange to me...that's all.
Oh well...I'll let the more political savvy people out there worry about this stuff. I'll stick to the REALLY important things, like getting a new coffee pot...trying the newest coffee by Folgers...and planning all the things I have planned for the Spring. Want a fresh cup of Java...?

Friday again...
And I'm reminded of something that my Sister sent me in an email. It was about retirement and asked the question "How many days in a week?". The answer was "6 Saturdays, 1 Sunday!".
Sometimes that's the way that I feel...sort of like being on vacation all the time!
Don't get me wrong now...I still get a lot done. At least, the important stuff that can't wait! For instance, I started to the store today and what is the first thing I noticed? A flat tire...big as life! Great way to start the morning...but the worst part is that I let myself get mad and out of balance. That meant bad Karma for sure, so I spent the rest of the day trying to get myself back into balance.
So here it is 10:30 pm, nothing I wanted to get done was finished...so tomorrow I start again, only this time I plan to keep a proper frame of mind and do it right. Gotta make sure to have some fresh coffee all ready first thing...come and join me, ok? On that note, let me offer this little bit of history for those old enough to remember it...

Thursday evening...
And it is trying to turn cold again. By cold, I mean cold for here...not cold like up North! I really don't mind the cooler weather that much...it gives me a chance to catch up on my reading. That is, if I can convince myself to stay off the Internet!
It's just that there is SO much to read, explore, research, investigate, chat about, try out, join, un-join, play, think on, pass on, download, upload and so on and so on and so on...it is hard to find a place to stop! There seems to be a domino effect here...cause when you read about something, the next thing you do is to Google it, and the first thing you know half the day is gone!
But it's FUN, at least for me...and it's cheap entertainment compared to some of the other options. And more importantly to me, I don't have to go anywhere to enjoy all this entertainment! Being a Hermit, that's an important factor...any excuse, I guess!
Well, I'm off to make some coffee and finish reading my book...and check my email, and post my blog, and read some other blogs, and look up a....maybe I'll stick to the book tonight, ya know?

Excuse for Tuesday...
Once again I missed a day...forgot all about Monday! Must be a hold over from my working days! Nice to be able to just blow off Monday altogether, just because I can!
Spent a large part of the day tripping down memory lane. I was searching around looking for some appropriate music and hit the Mother Load of all memory music....listened until I couldn't stand it anymore! Heard songs and recalled things that I haven't thought about in years! That ever happen to you? Thought I'd share a couple of my favorites with you, if that's all right!
And here is another one...hope you enjoy them. Cheers for now...

Thoughts on a Sunday...
Today is my baby Sister's birthday! I just wanted to wish her many happy returns, long life and happiness, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
****
Have you ever had a particular song or piece of music just reach out and grab you? I have...and I'll tell you about it.
I watched a movie one time called "Pump Up The Volume" with Christian Slater. Part of the soundtrack was a song called "Everybody Knows". The song was originally written and sung by Leonard Cohen, but on the soundtrack they used a blended version with Leonard Cohen and Concrete Blonde.....and that was the first version that I heard.
It was also the first time I had ever heard either of these great artist! I have to admit to being totally blown away by this song and I still am! Just listen to the words!
There is something in this song that reaches out and grabs me at my very core! Don't know if it's the words or what...but it is strong! Especially the end of the song...I am filled with emotion every time I hear it! It gives me goose bumps!

Saturday and Spring...
Spring is what it feels like today....don't know what happened to our winter weather. It started off raining and then starting getting warm. Here it is 10:00 pm and it's 62 outside. Like I said, Springtime!
Each day I say that I'm going to post earlier...but something always seems to get in the way. Today it was a bad case of early Spring fever! I almost wanted to go fishing! But I didn't give in...and that's a good thing. Can't give in all the time...right? At least that's what I'm told!
Anyway, I'm gonna put on some coffee and finish reading a new book I got. Never read this author before so I don't really know what to expect. His name is Christopher Moore and has written 7 novels, the first when he was in his early 30's...so we will see what he has to offer!
Have a pleasant evening...I'll see you tomorrow, ok?

Friday and Cold...
A little chilly in the big city today...windy and hanging in the 40's. That's about our typical winter weather here on the 3rd coast. Not too bad, considering the weather the folks up North are getting.
Was just thinking today about what a great vehicle the Web is for meeting new friends. I have several net friends today that I've had for a couple of years. I probably know more about my web friends than I do most of my off-line ones...and I certainly trust them as much if not more!
Funny how you just automatically seem to trust some folks. Others you just know right off that you can't trust 'em. Is it because it's easier to trust folks you don't see face to face? Could it be that having a built in safety zone makes things seem safer or more comfortable? I don't think so...
For me it's just as satisfying to talk to Web friends because they have the option of ignoring me altogether, or telling me to get lost without a physical confrontation or face off. Anyway, I like my friends...and I like my lifestyle...and I like being left pretty much alone...so sue me.
Gonna have some coffee now...I did remember to go get some this morning so I'm set! Have a good one, OK?

Thursday and Cold...
Well, it finally decided to turn into Winter here in the big city! At least cold for here...not like in Colorado where Blondie lives and certainly not like where J.S. lives...those guys live in the big snow country! My idea of cold and their's would be totally different, I'm sure. To me, cold is 30's and 40's with a wind coming off the gulf! The only good thing about this weather is that it doesn't last long...
The reason that I mention these two individuals is because both are bloggers, and I have picked up a lot of really good and interesting information from reading their blogs. In fact, these are the only blogs that I read on a regular basis. If you want to be well informed and entertained at the same time, may I suggest that you read the offerings from Blondie and from J.S....I think you'll be glad you did.
Made my first major mistake of the year today...I ran out of COFFEE! Can you believe that? I couldn't either...talk about starting the New Year off with a bad move, and this is a perfect example!
Road trip first thing tomorrow...gotta have my coffee! Don't worry, I get enough to share...so drop on by if you want, OK? OK!

A Little Food For Thought...
I want to tell you about something that has been going on in my life for about a month now...and I realize that in telling this, I will come across as some sort of nutcase. So be it...it has happened and I feel that talking about it will help me to understand it a little better.
Sometime back, I started to hear voices...not talking to me, but rather just like hearing bits and pieces of someone else's conversations. They were always quiet and sometimes so faint that I could barely hear them at all. This didn't happen all the time or at any particular time of day or night. I never felt threatened or bothered by them once I realized that they just there...and that I couldn't explain them.
Then about a week ago, I heard a knocking on the wall just to my left while sitting at my desk. At first I thought this was someone knocking at my door, but when I turned and looked at the door, there was no one there! I turned back to the computer and resumed working...when I heard the soft knocking again, but this time I could tell where they were coming from. I went outside to make sure that nothing was banging on my outside wall and it wasn't! Back inside, I thought about it for a minute and then I just accepted it for what it was...an unexplained noise. Once again I felt no fear nor did I feel threatened in anyway! Just one of those things, ya know?
However, last night something happened that sort of startled me a bit...and I have to admit to a certain feeling of uncertainty about this one.
Sitting at the computer, I was looking at the screen and on the right side of the screen, I saw the reflection of someone moving across the room. This was the reflection of a solid object...I saw no light pass thru it and heard no noise associated with it. As I live alone and no one else was in the room, I turned and looked to see who had come in. Not hurrying or really even thinking about it yet, I looked and sure enough there was nothing there! Then I realized that I had actually seen something, not heard bits and pieces of some talking, or heard some strange knocking, but actually seen the reflection of something!
I felt that I should leave the room for a bit and catch my breath, although I was not frightened but rather truly startled. Feeling as though I should tell someone about this I walked over to my Mother's house and told her about it. I should have been expecting the reaction, but even as used to human nature as I am, I was not!
It seems that the reason I hear these things and see these things have one basic cause in common...I live alone! If I quit living alone, I wouldn't hear these strange noises. If I went to a lot of public places and went to a lot of parties and had friends over all the time and got involved with anything that included being large crowds of people...all would be well and I would not be crazy anymore! I stood there dumbfounded for a minute and then said " I would rather live with ghost the rest of my life than deliberately put myself in the middle of a large crowd of people again!"
I'll take friendly ghost over unfriendly Goblins ( mostly human!) every time! I will also keep my experiences to myself from now on...let's go have some coffee!

Happy New Year...!!!
Just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very SAFE and HAPPY NEW YEAR...with the emphasis on safety, ok?
This past year has been a bit of a wild ride for me, what with getting accustomed to not working for other people after all these years, learning to live the glamorous life-style of the retired, and trying to somehow convince myself that the Older gentleman I see in the mirror is actually me!
Not really sure where the first 60+ years of my life went, but they went at a dead run, where ever it was! I thought about slowing down a bit...but ya know, I'm having too much fun!
So " Damn the torpedoes...full speed ahead!". Let's all get together and go make some money this year, whadda ya say? Someone be sure to bring the coffee...
