Novel Approach To Punishment...!

I think that this dad had the right idea about just how to most effectively punish his daughter!

Not only does he not have to worry about the PTB interfering with his right to punish, but I'm sure that the daughter would hate to have this type of behaviour made public again.

This may just be a case of "once being enough" and if it works then it's something that more parents might want to try!

Dad buys newspaper ad after daughter breaks curfew

Aug 20, 11:18 PM (ET)

SOUTHLAKE, Texas (AP) - A Texas teenager who broke curfew is headed for a reluctant adventure in baby-sitting.

Robert Rausch placed an advertisement offering his daughter's free baby-sitting services in the community newspaper in Southlake, a wealthy suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth that is home to business leaders and professional athletes.

The advertisement names Rausch's 16-year-old-daughter and says, "Want a FREE BABYSITTER for a night out?" It explains that she is in trouble for missing her curfew and offers 30 hours of free baby-sitting.

Rausch says he wanted to discipline his daughter and help others at the same time. And it appears his daughter has already learned a lesson. She says she won't violate curfew again or throw any more late-night parties.

So simple that it's a beautiful idea! It might just get the message across! Personally I think it's a win-win situation! More power to Dad on this one!

How about some coffee on the patio this morning?

Hope the gubermint doesn't get mad. They probably think only they can demand community service. But what a great idea.

Hmmm ...I think it's a GREAT idea on the dad's part and would certainly teach the girl a lesson. But as a parent looking for a babysitter, I would have to think twice and interview both the dad and the teenage girl. Unless I already knew the girl and her family, I don't know if I'd feel comfortable leaving my children OR my house in the hands of a teenager who has already demonstrated she can be irresponsible.

But, then, I tended to be paranoid about my kids. LOL

That Dad needs an award, and like you say ,more parents need to step up and take back control of their out of control kids.
I think it was Bill Cosby who said
"I brought you into the World. I can take you out of it"

This country needs a lot more of that !!

Good Morning My Special One
Sorry I missed you yesterday early run to take pictures and hit the wally world before everyone else. I went to a Humane Society event here and they had a cat so big I thought it was a bob cat.
And now for today's story as long as the dad went with her to meet the people first then I think he did a great deed to teach is daughter a lesson.
Please pass the pot I have time for a cup with you this morning.

Hey Dakota...
I get the feeling that this may be one of those folks that would tell the government to go pound sand! I could be wrong, but seems pretty strong minded to me!

Thanks for the visit today!

Hey WWRWH...
I have a feeling that she would be sitting with folks that already knew the family! Sort of like group participation.

Either way, I think it's a novel idea!

I appreciate you coming by today!

Hey Chucky...
Many of us could benefit from this type of action at one time or another! Glad I'm too old to worry about it!

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey Ben...
Right you are, buddy! More like this Dad would help a lot! Bet the daughter learned from it as well, which is the whole point!

Thanks, buddy, for coming over today!

Hey JoJo...
So, is the weather still staying cool there? I guess you are starting to think about when you should go home, huh?

Glad to see you this morning...and I am so glad you could drop by!

If that doesn't work her dad should put an ad advertising free diaper cleaning service with pickup and delivery by his daughter. I think that would end anymore shit out of her. Thanks for another great lesson.

I'd giver her a go at babysitting, she'd be too scared to do something wrong after that punishment. Her new found responsibility is demonstrated by her father's attitude

Hey Mechanic...
Probably a good idea, but I don't think that many parents use real diapers anymore...just the throw away kind!

Still, it's not a bad idea!

Thanks, my friend, for coming by today!

Hey AV...
Seems like it should work, doesn't it?

I'd be willing to say that she will probably walk the straight and narrow for a bit, which is the whole idea!

Thanks, buddy, for coming over this morning!
