Sometimes A Little Humor Helps...!

Since I had to go to the V.A. yesterday, I've been thinking a lot today about health!

Here is a little health related humor I thought you might enjoy...

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish, and my paint job is getting a little dull. But that's not the worst of it. My headlights are out of focus, and it's especially hard to see things up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or laugh, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires.
CASH FOR CLUNKERS..........I QUALIFY - How about You?

I hope you all have a good day, my friends! Now...let's get some coffee in the kitchen, OK?

Now that's funny Jim!
I enjoyed reading it while having my first coffee of the morning. It helped wake me up.

I sometimes think I should have traded myself in a long time ago 'cuz I can relate.

Well done sir!!

Thanks Hermit. Just what I needed with my shot of "Wake Up". That last line was hilarious. Huh, we do wear out like cars.

I agree with Anonyous, I worked hard to get here and I am proud of every white hair and every wrinkle. But the aches and pains, I can leave behind . . but they keep tagging along.

Good Morning My Special Friend,
LOl That is very true, describes me perfectly. Thanks for the laugh and the coffee.

As you get older we all need some extra STP in our engines. Maybe a little stop leak too. Thanks for another great lesson.

Oh geez. Looking at it that way. I'm a total wreck.

Hey Christer...
Glad you liked it, my friend!

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey Will...
Glad you enjoyed the humor this morning...always happy to help furnish a grin!

I appreciate you coming by today!

Hey Momlady...
I'll bet you have quite a few good miles left in you yet!

Hold off on the trade in for the time being...after all, you belong to the classics!

Thanks for coming by today, my friend!

Hey Chucky...
Think I've been on more unpaved roads that paved, and every one of them shows!

Proud of all my battle scars, though!

Glad you could come by today, my friend!

Hey Ben...
We might break the bank if we all tried the "cash for clunkers" at once! Still, it might be worth it!

Thanks, buddy, for coming by!

HEY Sissy...
It's safe to say that we do wear out very much like cars.

I guess the main thing is that we enjoy the ride as much as possible!

I appreciate your dropping in today!

Hey Dizzy...
I could do without the aches and pains myself! I don't mind the milage marks!

I thank you, sir, for the visit today!

Hey JoJo...
I'm glad you enjoyed the post this morning, sweetie!

I appreciate the visit!

Hey Mechanic...
Some extra STP would certainly help in my case! As would the stop leak!

Thanks for coming by today!

hey Bob...
don't feel alone, buddy! many of us fall into the "wreck" category, I'm afraid!

I do appreciate you coming by today!

Oh my goodness! I just about spit my coffee all over the keyboard!!!

Sad to say, I can certainly relate.. but I prefer to think of ourselves as "CLASSICS'" rather than clunkers!

I'm ready for that coffee now. My last one got wasted! lol!

Seems you scored a hit with today's post, HJ, as many of us can identify with auto problems. But like older models we still have lots of good miles left and as we all know "they don't make them like they used to." Enjoy the coffee and your day!

HermitJim said...

Hey Kate...
I'll certainly go along with you on the classics! Much nicer term, I'm thinking!

Sorry about making you spit out your coffee! Plenty more where that came from, though!

Hey, thanks for the visit today!

Hey Beatrice...
I'm right on the same page with you on the fact that most of us have some good miles left on us yet!

And how true that "they don't make 'em like they used to!" Maybe that's a good thing!

Thanks for the visit today, my friend!

Count me in for the $$$. This clutter is still worth something!

Hmmm, so I'm a clunker... Have to think about that.

You haven't really felt like a clunker until you've started trying to keep track of the parts that are missing. I've also noticed that my joints need alignment and I think my fuel system is backing up.

Not to mention what the air here has done to my filter...

Hugs,
Ashley
