Some Things To Think About...!

No matter how many times we hear some of these, we can always stand to hear them again!

The truth never loses it's edge, I think.

God... a being whose only definition is that he is beyond man's power to conceive.
Ayn Rand

Government "help" to business is just as disastrous as government persecution... the only way a government can be of service to national prosperity is by keeping its hands off.
Ayn Rand

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Ayn Rand

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.
Ayn Rand

People create their own questions because they are afraid to look straight. All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk.
Ayn Rand

Potentially, a government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.
Ayn Rand

The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity.
Ayn Rand

The man who lets a leader prescribe his course is a wreck being towed to the scrap heap.
Ayn Rand

The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.
Ayn Rand

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.
Ayn Rand

When man learns to understand and control his own behavior as well as he is learning to understand and control the behavior of crop plants and domestic animals, he may be justified in believing that he has become civilized.Ayn Rand

The truth will never be silenced for long. It may be hidden, twisted, or perverted by some, but that's only because they fear it!

Now how about some coffee on the patio? I could use some, couldn't you?

Ayn Rand is one of my favorite authors. I think she could see into the future. We need John Galt.
Coffee sounds great.

Hey Momlady...
It sometimes seems like she had a clear vision of what we faced in her future (our present). Wasn't far off, I think!

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey JoJo...
I hope the knee is getting better each day! Glad you like some of the quotes...certainly something to think about!

You have a great day, and thanks, sweetie, for coming by today!

Hey Dizzy...
That she did, my friend, that she did! I would have liked to talk to her!

We are John Galt, all of us collectively. At least, we could be.

I adore Ayn Rand. The oath to enter Galt's Gulch is one of my favorite quotes.

Thanks for your encouraging words, Mister Hermit, sir. You're sweet (don't worry, I won't tell).

Shade and Sweetwater,
K

Off topic but I'm really trying to find out what has happened ton all the .gov sites. Epa and Noaa are down as well as social security. Anything with a dot gov address isn't working today. I tried to check out the fallout info on epa. and Noaa. and they are all off the air. Just wondering if others are having the same problem?

So you're a fan of Ayn, too? I knew we had more in common than just being older folk!
