This About Says It All...!

I'm glad to know it's not just my imagination!

For a while there, I thought I was the only one that had these feelings. Nice to know so many other folks in the country are feeling about the same!

Poll finds Americans angry about pretty much everything

No wonder David Bowie was afraid of Americans.

A new Newsweek/Daily Beast poll finds that Americans are angry about…pretty much everything. From President Obama to congressional Republicans to even God (who has a 33 percent approval rating), everyone needs to watch out for an angry mob coming their way.

Unemployment is at 9.1 percent, gas and grocery prices are skyrocketing, the housing market is in the dumps, and people aren’t happy. Three quarters of Americans think the country is on the wrong track, and 81 percent say the job market is not where it needs to be. Half of respondents don’t think Obama has a plan to balance the budget, and 58 percent think Republicans aren’t doing their part to balance the budget either.

The poll finds that Americans are being affected by their anger in other parts of life as well. Fifty-six percent are so angry that they can’t even sleep and 13 percent say the anxiety has affected their sex life. Twenty-six percent of married respondents claim the country’s economic problems have affected their marriage, with more than half of those people saying it has made their marriage worse.

The saddest part of this whole situation...is that nothing shows signs of getting any better in the near future! I don't know about anyone else, but I am not comforted by that fact.

It would really be nice to have some positive things happen for a change, ya know? Guess we all need to stay hopeful, right? Right!

Let's get some fresh coffee and sit outside. We can badmouth the weather guys for telling all those lies about the rain!

While we all share at least SOME of those feelings, I also think there are some sad facts about the people themselves hidden in those numbers.

Hey Gorges...
You are probably right! The figures can be telling!

Let's just hope that things get more positive!

Thanks for coming by today!

Financial crises like this last one really tears people apart inside. Being angry and worried about the future affects all aspects of life I´m afraid.

We got through this crises so much easier even though lots of people are unemployed over here too. I really hope things will change for You all soon!

Have a great day!
Christer.

Hey Christer...
Maybe I should run the video of the song "Don't worry, be happy", but I'm not sure it would do any good!

I guess I'm just being a pessimist these days!

The way I see it, things have to get better here real soon. After all, it must be our turn, right?

Thanks, buddy, for coming by today!

We are a very spoiled rotten people as a whole.

The greatest generation (our parents)
taught us to be very greedy self centered folks.

Time to wake up, or get bitch slapped

I guess I'm outside the norm.
Yea, things ain't super right not in out country, BUT I have faith in the American people, their sprite and will to survive.
One issue that I see over and over, the younger generation believes everything they read from people they don't know a thing about.
I have always done my own research on any topic that. I needed to know who said it,and what their are of expertise was before I could believe them

I think everyone should accept the fact that things will no longer be like they once were. And then try to enjoy what else life has to offer. If they can they should live cheaply such as in an RV. That's my plan!

I agree with Spud above, we as a whole are pretty spoiled as Americans. As bad as things are (and they are pretty bad, for now at least), America is still the land people want to emigrate to, not immigrate from. The line to come in is longer than the line to get out.

Economy is in the crapper, I was nearly laid off but luckily, things have taken a turn for the better, at least in short term.

The political BS does concern me - the media has definitely shown itself as a cheerleader for the Left and conceals / minimizes the sins of their cohorts in power, THAT concerns me. Unbiased media - where are you?

I'm just worried that the current administration is going to go too far (like they haven't already?) and really abuse those Executive Orders we know exist. Its a powder keg, no doubt about it.

Have a good day, in spite of it all. :^)

I'm loved, have a roof over my head and enough to eat. The coffee is on the stove, so I'm pretty happy.

Angry? More disappointed with our leaders than angry. Maybe I'm just too lazy to be really angry. :)

I agree with Anonymous. We are very spoiled and things are bad. I worry that this administration, if it isn't stopped will take this Country down the path to total financial collapse. This will leave us wide open for who knows what. I took "early retirement", not by choice but because I had to. So money is very tight in my household. But we are learning where and how to save money and do without. We have a roof over our heads and food on the table. I am thankful for what we have and I learned from my parents (who grew up in the Depression) how to make do. that's more than I can say for a lot of our "spoiled" young people who can't even live without their $80 -90/month cell phones.

I believe that people need to learn that Gog helps those who help themselves. Too many want something but are unwilling to work for it.

Got to keep an upper lip. Married folks will blame their bad marriage on just about anything but the real cause.
Oh well why get upset over someone else's problems. We just have to learn to live with in our means and be happy for what we have. Things will never be as they were.
Lets enjoy each other over that coffee on the patio.

We as a nation are very poor when it comes to bad times we do not plan for them.
We as a nation blame everyone but ourselves when bad times do come.
We as a nation keep electing the same fools who do our country no good and then we wonder why things are going to heck in a handbasket.
Too fix our country we have to fix ourselves and i sorry to say i do not see that any time soon.
