Gotta Love Those "Seniors"...!

Just a little something I received from my Baby Sis that I thought I would share!

Good way to start the day! At least, that's my opinion!

True story from a Kansas State Highway Patrol officer:

I made a traffic stop on an elderly lady the other day for speeding on U.S. 166 Eastbound at Mile Marker 73 just East of Sedan , KS .

I asked for her driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance.

The lady took out the required information and handed it to me.

In with the cards I was somewhat surprised (due to her advanced age)to see she had a conceal carry permit. I looked at her and ask if she had a weapon in her possession at this time.

She responded that she indeed had a .45 automatic in her glove box.

Something---body language, or the way she said it---made me want to ask if she had any other firearms. She did admit to also having a 9mm Glock in her center console.

Now I had to ask one more time if that was all. She responded once again that she did have just one more, a .38 special in her purse.

I then asked her what was she so afraid of.

She looked me right in the eye and said, "Not a damn thing!"

Seniors - Don't mess with them. They didn't get old by being stupid.

Just a little something to start off your weekend! Hope you enjoy it!

Want to share some coffee on the patio? Sure would like your company!

Good answer! Also works for us preppers who have all that food and water stored up. We aren't afraid because we are prepared.

I would feel much better if it was mandatory that every adult person had to carry a firearm. It would be a much safer place.

You go granny! Hope I'm like that lady when I get to be her age (of course I am well on my way - just need my conceal carry permit which I will soon be getting)

Morning to you. Good tale. Not all cops take that attitude.

A few years ago I was on the Interstate between Albuquerque and Grants, NM, driving a 1987 Isuzu Trooper a bit worse for the wear around 9:30, 10:00 pm. State Policeman flashes behind me and blinks his noise, so I pull over.

When pulled over I always sit with my hands visible on the wheel and wait for what happens next. I kept waiting, watching my left rearview mirror. Nothing happening. Suddenly there's a tap on the passenger side glass and a light shining on me through there, so I can't see the cop, just the glare lighting up my 1911 Colt lying in plain view on the seat. [Completely legal in New Mexico]

"Keep your left hand on the wheel and reach across to roll down the window."

I did.

"Is that firearm loaded?"

"Of course."

He reached through the open window toward it.

"Don't touch that pistol officer."

His hand jerked back. "Reach down with two fingers, remove the magazine and eject the round in the reciever."

I did.

"Now hand me the pistol."

I did.

He took the pistol and vanished to his car for a while. When he returned the reached in, placed the Colt and the magazine on the seat and asked me for my license proof of insurance and registration.

My license tag bulb had gone Communist. But then he proceeded to lecture me about how I needed to keep the pistol unloaded with the action locked back when I'm driving with it.

Safer that way, and otherwise I might frighten an officer and he might point a firearm at me.

"I've been driving with a pistol on the seat beside me longer than you've been alive, officer. I've spent more time on the range than you spent in Law Enforcement Academy. I've taught firearm safety. When I see you carrying your piece locked open with the magazine out I'll believe it's how I ought to do it.

"Write your damned ticket and let me get on my way."

He wrote me out a ticket cost me $35 eventually.

Hey Sixbears...
Does sort of remove the fear factor, doesn't it? But then, that's sort of the whole point!

Thanks, buddy, for coming by today!

Hey Ben...
Man, I haven't heard that song in a month of Sundays!

Lots of go0od songs in the old days!

Thanks for dropping in, buddy!

Hey China...
We would all be better off if we refused to let ourselves wear a sign saying "victim" around our neck!

She's my new hero!

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey Momlady...
This granny is definitely "old school!" Just have to love it!

I sure am glad you could come by this morning!

Hey DD...
I think you're right about that! With the proper training, of course!

I appreciate the visit, my friend!

Hey Linda...
I think a lot of us could use her as an example! Maybe she could be our poster woman!

I thank you for dropping by!

Hey Jules...
Sometimes it's more about the power than the law!

LEOs at times depend on the fear factor to show who's boss. No fear from us means less power for them.

Thanks for dropping in today!

Hey JoJo...
You sure this isn't about you, sweetie? You are pretty feisty yourself!

I really am glad you could come by today!

Hey Lamb...
I think you're probably right! If she does have an attempt made, someone is in for a surprise!

Good to see you again! Glad you could come by today!

Hey Anne...
Somehow I knew you'd like it! Sounds a lot like you, maybe?

Proud you could visit this morning!

Hey Mechanic...
I didn't know they didn't have one. Don't believe I'll be moving up there anytime soon!

Thanks, my friend, for coming by today!
