My Mother's Birthday...

This is now the first of November. This would be my Mother's birthday, if she were still here.

Mom always loved bluegrass music, so in her memory I thought I would play a little Bluegrass for her. Hope you don't mind...

Mom's Birthday Today...!

I'm going to forgo the usual posting today and spend some time with my Mother. Today is her birthday and I'm going to try and make it enjoyable for her!

I realize that none of you have ever met my Mom, so let me introduce you to the birthday girl! Guess I should say "Birthday Lady" instead, right?

Taking Today Off For Mom's Birthday...!

Today my Mom is 87 years old (or young, depending on your outlook)!

She has her monthly sewing group coming over to her house, and I will make myself available to run any errands that they need done. Often this includes serving as a taxi, fetching snacks, moving chairs around to be more comfortable, and engaging in conversation when needed!

Anyway, I just wanted to explain why I might not be able to answer any comments until later this evening. I prefer to answer most fairly quickly, but today I may be slower than normal. Sorry about that, but it is a special day for Mom and I need to be available, ya know?

It's hard to believe that it's already the 1st. of November! I'm not sure just where the rest of the year went, but October sure got away from me! Know what I mean?

I hope everyone has a good day, and I ask for your continued prayers and good thoughts for the folks suffering as a result of the storm and it's aftermath. OK?

Coffee on the patio this morning. It's more Summer than Autumn, and we should take advantage of the good weather!

Today is my Mother's birthday!

In keeping with that thought, I have a special video in her honor. Then, I'm taking the rest of the day off to help her celebrate!

Today is my Mother's birthday! In honor of her special day, I'm playing a song from one of her and Dad's favorite bands from their day...!

Take time to listen to a bit of music from a simpler time, a more honest time, a time of real hero's!



Good music, huh? That's because my folks were good people! My Mom still is a very special lady...and I'm sure that my Dad, where ever He may be, is looking down at Mom and smiling. He may like this song as well...and if so, that thought pleases me to no end!
