A Crook With A Heart...?

I guess it sounds almost impossible, but it could happen!

Here is a story that shows that there may just be some hope for the human race after all! It's always nice to find that one story that let's us see that not all the scum bags are heartless!

I have to admit to almost being a little moved by this story...almost!

Man tells thief he's homeless, gets stuff back

POLICE say an armed robber gave back everything he stole from a homeless man after learning he lives at a shelter.

The York Dispatch said today that 22-year-old Larry Sanderson was outside the York Rescue Mission last night when a man displayed the handle of a revolver and told him to empty his pockets.

The paper says Mr Sanderson turned over his wallet, cell phone, MP3 player and cigarettes.

When the armed man asked Mr Sanderson if that was all he had, Mr Sanderson explained he lives at the shelter.

Police say the robber replied, "I can respect that," returned the man's property and walked away.

Wish I could say that this is a sign that mankind is finally making a turn around...but it may just be a tad early for that yet! Before I commit myself on that thought, I'll wait until I see the headlines in tomorrow's paper!

Until then, my friends, let's get some fresh coffee and sit outside for a bit! Maybe you could share some good news with me!

Some time back we discussed unrest in the cities. I forget which lady wrote that she felt threatened and out numbered. I assured her that if she has "only" a 22 rifle she can keep the bad guys out of her house. Trust me. A 22 through the eye will deter even the most arrogant swaggering streetscum bent on rape.
(Do I sound paranoid? I was Corrections Officer for nine years.
Maybe I know things you don't want to think about.)

Glad someone found a Bad Guy with a heart. Yesterday morning, my coworker's husband and friend were bike riding in wee hours, and was hit by a hit and run driver. Coworker's husband has bruises and minor cuts but is otherwise physically okay. Coworker's husband was trying to stop the friends blood flow, but couldn't. HE COULD NOT GET ANY DRIVERS DRIVING BY TO STOP AND HELP - KEEP YOUR CELL PHONE AT ALL TIMES!

The friend later died at the hospital - still looking for the driver.

Sad and tragic - thats life.

Hey Vlad...
I'm sure that you could tell some stories that would curdle the blood! I think I'd rather not know!

I appreciate you coming by today!

Hey Ben...
Little nicer than yesterday's story, isn't it?

Thanks, buddy, for coming by!

Hey Anon 7:41...
That's sad that no one would stop! Guess that's how most folks seem to be now days.

Glad that he only had bumps and bruises...but sorry the friend passed!

Thanks for coming over this morning!

Good Morning My Special One,
Could it be Robin Hood coming back?
On the other above about the hit and run it sounds like the same thing we had happen here yesterday.I can understand not wanting to stop not knowing wether they are trying to car jack you or not but at least call for help. I don't think people realize some day it could be them.

Okay, it's nice that that guy got his stuff back. But please tell me how a person living in a shelter and claims to be homeless can afford a cell phone, MP3 player and cigarettes.

...sorry,but a thief is a thief, showing me the grip would have gotten him two in the chest...

...his "heart" is irrelevent...

Hey Momlady...
Does sort of make you wonder, doesn't it?

At $5 a pack, cigs are NOT cheap anymore! And cell phones? Don't even want to go there!

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey JoJo...
Robin Hood? Just a plain ol' crook that had a weak moment, more likely!

Don't know why someone wouldn't stop for an injured bike rider. Seems like they could have at least called for help!

Thanks, sweetie, for coming by today!

Hey Ken...
I'm thinking it must not have been real! If all he showed was the grip, then maybe it was a fake gun. That can still get you dead real quick, if you know what I mean!

Thanks, buddy, for coming over today!

Someone ought to give the "bad guy with a heart" Bernanke's or Chuckie Schumer's address.

Better stuff there, and more of it. Since it's already been looted from us, the people, I won't mind if he gets a piece of it for himself. He can have more of it if he uses that gun in appropriate manner.

Hey Catman...
I don't think the guy wants to tangle with anyone that looks as though he might be able to defend himself! His kind usually don't!

I do appreciate you coming by today!

In a way that is like old time thinking. Never take from someone worse of than Yourself. But to be honest, we should never take anything from anyone at all :-)

Have a great day now!

http://www.timebomb2000.com/vb/showthread.php?t=68234&highlight=cayenne

excerpt
One told how he had cut deeply with a sharp instrument the inside of his hand, fingers and palm. The blood spurted out in streams. He poured a large amount of cayenne pepper into the wound, and within seconds the blood flow slowed down to congealed dripping and the bleeding stopped entirely before many seconds had passed.

With a goodly amount of cayenne covering the wound, he then wrapped it. He was so excited about the rapid results he could hardly wait for the regular herb meeting. But, as he said, the "punch line" was lost, because instead of a nasty ragged scar to show how severely he had been hurt, the area was healed and there was no scar.

Many of the old herbalists claim that in cases of severe cuts, gunshot wounds, etc., cayenne can be taken internally as a tea and the bleeding will stop by the time, in most cases, you can count to ten.

If mankind really was making a turnaround, the jerk would not have been committing armed robbery in the first place. But at least there was a nice ending to the story.
