Getting Sticky In The City...!

Would you like to know just how crazy things are getting the the city?

This story came from the Houston Chronicle...and may help you understand why I hate this place so badly!

PASADENA — Pasadena police have a sticky investigation.

Somebody put glue on the hair of three shoppers in two stores.

A 12-year-old girl told KHOU-TV that she was shopping at a drug store last week when she felt a wad of something "sizzling" in her ponytail. The substance turned out to be glue.

The child had to cut off some of her hair to get rid of the mess.

Managers say another customer had glue sprayed into her hair earlier Thursday at the same drug store.

Pasadena police are investigating a similar incident at a nearby grocery store.

Assistant Chief Bud Corbett said Monday he has never heard of any assault like the glue attacks.

So far, there are no arrests.

For those that may not know, Pasadena is just another suburb of Houston. I guess you could say they are a separate city, since they have their own police, city hall, all of that!

All I know is that on one side of the freeway it's called Houston...and on the other side, it's called Pasadena! No matter what you call it...it's nuts!

I can only guess that first they must sniff the glue...then spray it!

Lord, after
reading this story, I know I need a fresh cup of coffee! Get a cup and join me on the patio, OK?

Good day to you Uncle Hermit,

Wow! that is crazy.

Do the stores not have surveillance cameras that they could get footage off of and try to identify the perp that way?

It is a horrible thing to have happen to anybody, but at least it is just the hair that the glue has been sprayed on. Luckily it has not been sprayed into somebody's eyes.

I pray it doesn't move beyond the hair and that they catch the sick individual/individuals before it progresses beyond these three incidents.

I will gladly join you for a fresh cup of coffee. Can I interest you in a slice of apple crumb coffee cake?

Hugs~Felinae~

Good morning, Mister Hermit, sir.

Boy, people can just be...rude! Who thinks something like that is funny?

Sigh.

I think I'm feeling the need to get out of this mess called civilization. Bleh.

I don't feel much like baking right now, virtual or otherwise, and as the insomnia is kicking my arse, coffee is right out - mind if I sit in the corner and play my flute instead?

Shade and Sweetwater,
K

Hey Felinae...
Kinda makes you wonder what kind of sickos are running around out there, doesn't it?

Seems to me that society as a whole is going to hell in a handbasket, if you know what I mean!

Bring on that crumb cake, girl! I'm so glad you could visit for a while, especially sice you brought food!

Hey K...
If you're tyalent with the flute is anywhere near your talent with words...the more the merrier!

We need many more like yourself that can paint a pretty picture in our minds, or sooth our furrowed brow with a song, especially with allt the madness reigning around us!

Thanks so much for the visit,my friend!

Thats weird - Texas heat must be getting to them. Can't figure out what the desired affect is, except for mayhem.

Good coffee.
Anonymous concerned citizens should take the gluesprayer to the interstate, strip him/her naked, and superglue his/her tender parts to a reflector standard.
I hope they film paramedics rescuing the gluesprayer and show it on TV.

Sounds like a sticky mess to me.

Get a tall tree and a short rope.

Texas style.

Every time I hear something like this I think can people get any weirder. And sadly to say yes they can.

I am beginning to believe more and more in the old adage; an eye for an eye. Maybe it we started dishing out punishment for crime the way it use to be done, it would be a better deterrent to some of this lunatic behavior.

Mr. Jim,
This place is crazy and I want out. Just started the search for a rural spot. We have the regular killings in the news, but it seems things are getting worse... and my observation is not from the news stories. It is the way people are hanging out watching you, driving with no care for life and language used in public...gluing hair - just a few symptoms. It has always been there, just getting widespread. If there's ever a reason for them to go crazy all at once, I don't want to be here.

Hey Anon 5:47...
General mayhem is exactly what these idiots ant! Destrucyion of anything and everyone just for the hell of it!

This kind of thing is worse this year than I ever remember...

Thanks for coming by today!

Hey Tony...
A tall tree and a short rope in PUBLIC might serve to turn the tide a bit...couldn't hurt to try!

Hey, thanks for coming by, buddy!

Hey Vlad...
Public punishment, televised, could be the answer! I don't know what else we could do...

Like I've said before, it's a case of the inmates running the asylum...

Hey, Vlad, I appreciate you coming by!

Hey Rae...
I agree that maybe a little biblical justice is certainly called for. Nothing else is going to work, evidently!

Tough times may just call for tough decisions...all we can do is home it slows down some soon!

Thanks for coming by, Rae...

Hey Kris...
If daily life is getting this weird, you can only imagine and dread what will happen at the slightest sign of anything major!

Certainly looks like the time to head for the hills, literally!

Thanks for coming over, my friend!

...couldn't resist...

Hey Ken...
I agree with you...the time has come. In fact, I've been working with the VA to double up on my heart meds to allow me more latitude along those lines! Also, discussing with family the fact that someone else is going to have to replace me as the resident go to guy here!

Time to get outta Dodge...and I ain't glued here, for sure!

Thanks for coming by today, my man!

Hi Mr. Hermit my friend, That is some nasty stuff there. But that may have been the deed, huffing the glue first then going out and being stupid and spraying people's hair. But sooner or later the glue with start harden he brain and then they will be sitting in a courner drooling on themselves. At least we can hope for that. But as someone else above asked how come the camera's didn't get an image?
Oh well bring on the coffee and lets see if we can't figure out some of the worlds problems.

Hey JoJo...
I was thinking that sitting in the corner and drooling is how these types spend their spare time! I'll bet a match thrown into their midst would get their attention! Or maybe not, if they don't remember that glue is flammable...

Hey, sweet thang, thanks for coming by today!

Crazy world everywhere I tell ya. I would not waste my glue on anyone that way. LOL Gives new meaning to getting stuck in town I guess.

Hey Bullseye...
Maybe it's their version of "Stuck on you!"...whatever the reason, I'm thinking that some type of appropriate justice would be called for!

Maybe we should just turn them over to the family of the victims...that would be interesting, for sure!

Craziness does abound lately! All over...!

Thanks for coming by, Bullseye!
