The War That Never Was...!

How I wish that our present war situation was like this. Imagine how many lives would be saved...

However, such a thing is not likely in my lifetime. Still, a person can still hope, right?

For nearly 2 centuries, Denmark was at war with the Spanish town of Huéscar – but not a single shot was fired, and no one was killed. After war was declared in 1809, everyone completely forgot about it, so there were never any battles. A peace treaty was finally signed in 1981, when a historian happened upon the official declaration of war and realized the countries technically should have been fighting each other for the past 172 years. I found this bit of history over at a site called Did You Know? Why not check them out...?

Coffee inside once again this morning.

Now that is a way to fight a war. We should learn from them.

That is a great way to have a war if you must have a war. Of course some suppliers of war equipment make lots of money during wars and they probably would go out of business if there were no more wars or rumors of wars. But that would be too good to be true.

Not much profit from that war was there?

Hey Jo...
At least you don't have snow like some of the folks up north.
Thanks, sweetie, for dropping by today!

Hey Dizzy...
I don't think the makers of weapons will ever go out of business, but instead find some other nasty way to make a living.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hey Rob...
No profit that I can see. Must have bummed them out.
Thanks for the visit today!
