For A Little Peace Of Mind...

The National elections are not that far off, so I thought that I would pass on to you some information I recently recieved. It probably won't do anything to change your mind as to who you vote for, but that's alright because in my opinion the results of the elections have already been decided by the Powers Behind The Throne, so to speak.

I mean, I guess that many people are still under the impression that the individual voters in this great country of ours actually have a measure of control over who gets elected. I wish that I still did. I also wish that I still believed in Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the possibility of world peace.

Now, as I reach the latter part of my life, I struggle to hang on to the fact that there are a few good types around, and that should bring a little comfort to us all. Here are a few facts that you should know, regardless of how you plan to vote. If nothing else, they are interesting...

Question:
What is America 's first line of missile interceptor defense that protects the entire United States ?
Answer:
49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard.

Question:
What is the ONLY National Guard unit on permanent active duty?
Answer:
49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard

Question:
Who is the Commander in Chief of the 49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard?
Answer:
Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska

Question:
What U.S. governor is routinely briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism?
Answer:
Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska

Question:
What U.S. governor has a higher classified security rating than either candidate of the Democrat Party?
Answer:
Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets. She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is!

Now I don't know if this does anything to ease your mind about some of the participants in the upcoming Political side show or not...but hopefully it will help!

Now, let's go get some fresh coffee...

Morning Jim,

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Have almost given up on voting entirely over the years because of this.

Thanks for the post.

Hey Lydia...nice to know that there are some people that agree about the political climate. There are probably a lot of good things about all the cabdidates, but how can we really tell with all the smoke and mirrors beingused?

Thanks for dropping by and for the comments...

I rec'd this same info in a fwd email and immediately reposted it on myspace bulletin, something I rarely do. It speaks volumes. I wonder why the campaign itself has not really tried to get this info out there to the voting public?

Ah, well. I know who I am voting for...and I am anxious for the actual election to take place so that we can see for ourselves who won...not what the media predicts.

Have a wonderful one,
:) >^..^<

Hey Cat...I appreciate you dropping by. I guess the important thing here is that we take part in the process, reguardless of how we feel about the outcome.

Politics and religion are two things that folks can get very passionate about, and in some ways that's a good thing. As long as we voice our differences in a peaceful manner, it makes for some lively discussions!!

See ya later, my friend...
